Guys, I know there have been a ton of threads on this but I tried the search and couldn't find any. Does anyone have the link they can send me from a past thread? I looked up these 3 companies online, all quoting about $1200-$1400 covered, fully insured etc...Has anyone used any of these companies? Any gotchas, I'm really nervous about shipping it, it's never left our garage other than when I'm driving it...kid off to summer camp for the 1st time kind of thing. Thanks for your inputs. Glen

Hi, Glen. Last year, I went through the same line of thinking when I moved from PA to SC.

Finally, I decided to have the person I trust most transport it: ME!

I just checked the fluids, hopped in and drove. The trip was fantastic. It happened to be spring break and lots of kids were driving down I-95, passing me. I lost count of how many people took pictures.

Keep in mind that my car was 41 years old at the time and had over 155,000 miles on it.

    Go for it!!!

I have not used any of the companies you listed, so can't comment on them. I have used Reliable for a one-way FL to MD, and Plycar for a round trip to Vegas. I was satisfied with both. It all comes down to the drivers. In both cases I had drivers who really cared about the cars. PM me or send e-mail if you want the phone numbers of the two drivers that did my hauls.

    Hey Glen,

I have transported many cars of the years with 'Reliable' for photo and film shoots and they have always been professional, courteous and on time with never an incident.
I just recently transported my little Porsche from 'Fantasy Junction' in San Francisco to Santa Fe New Mexico with 'Exotic Car Transport' and they were great, professional, on time and very reasonable as far as rates go.
My Ferrari was hauled from Tennessee to Los Angeles by 'Horseless Carriage' a few years ago and they were great as well.
Personally, I think Bob's got the plan......drive it, that's what it's all about. Good luck and have fun!:D

A Fellow F-chatter and Ferrari owner "Im Gone" owns and operates Poff Transportation (pofftransportation.com) He is located here in Phoenix. Great guy, I'd trust him to ship my cars anywhere.:)

    BTW, he's not a broker.

i have recommended Demoise trucking in several threads on here, as i have used them for 5+ exotic transports. also buyers of my cars have used them as well. they are a small company, and the owner and drivers really seem to care about you and the car.

they are shipping the black 78 Trans Am i just bought to me, and are treating me just as nice as when they are moving my lambos and Ferrari's.

The website for Poff Transportation looked encouraging. Beyond that, you should be safe going with the major enclosed carriers: Reliable, FedEX/Passport, Horseless Carriage, Exotic Car Transport, AutobahnUSA, InterCity Lines.

I have had good experience with InterCity in the past, and know others who have used the rest. Haven't heard any complaints. Exotic is transporting my new F430 as I type. Due in front of my house at 9am.

If you prefer smaller independent transporters, look into Almond Exotic Transports. They handle mostly exotics, modified, and race vehicles. I have used them several times in the past, always satisfied. I would have used them to transport the F430, but Exotic was 5-6 days sooner and unlike other cars that I have shipped, I am particularly anxious to get the car ASAP.
