Lewis to replace Barrichello at Brawn if ends up missing races this year?

+1. Don't be surprised if the FIA restricts Hammy from driving for another team so as to get around the penalty. He is just as guilty as the team.

You're just upset because he's a fellow Brit and quite a few people don't like him. You have a man crush on him, that's OK, I still respect you...

He's not going anywhere, as far as I can see either. If he does people will just find something else to dislike, there's plenty to go around.
I find the whole story very highly unlikely. Now do I buy his BS story about the team made me do it. Umm no not really. You can if you like...

 

Luis, I don't have a man crush on him, Why I like him is because I really think he has given F1 a shot in the arm of adrenalin, I love his driving style he is a pure gifted racer IMO, and the reason you don't like him if the truth be known, is because he upset your man Fred..

Joking apart, LH and Fred are both brillant drivers both hot heads, and if we talk about there on track stuff there the ones I watch and want to stay in the sport, along with another rising star Vettel.

Now regards LH telling lies yet again...yawn!! he had a choice yes! defy his team, or tell the truth, which in fact that's exactly what he did when he got out of the car., the rest you can only assume he was advised to tell a lie to the stewards, IMO it is totally mind boggling why this happened, and has now been completely blown out of proportion.

Now I can only assume that this has something to with Porno Max and his hate of Mclaren, and a good thrashing sex vid.

What does stress me out is folks jumping on this talent like he is satan himself, he is a young lad with a great talent and he is being constantly smashed mentally in every way possible whether this will destory him or not is anyones guess whatever it is not a happy thing for me to witness to be honest, especially if it is a PornoMax vendetta against Mclaren, such a shame I figure he is made of tough stuff.

It seems such a pity the guy gets slammed for just being good at his job, the last race proved that as well, but sadly that is just 1% of what folk want to talk about, lets face it if he have started 3rd and finished last we wouldn't have had a problem, trouble is it was the other way round..

 

It is quite ridiculous, the whole situation in general but for everything, there is a penalty. McLaren got caught red handed. LH did what the team told him to do, and that's fine but he's trying to make himself look like he was totally innocent in the whole matter and that's not correct either. I'm simply not buying into the pity party spin he and his father are trying to push on us. He and McLaren are both guilty of lying to stewards. How stupid of both of them to do that knowing that radio communications are monitored.

 

No argument there, I reckon LH from now on will stick his neck out, when it comes down to defying the team, but this could back fire big time, it is a lot for young shoulders to handle along with the pressure of racing, it is such a shame it comes down to this.

It defies logic how Mclaren were thinking on this issue.

I'am of the belief he now needs a different manager.

 

The action on the track is good if you close your eyes to the reasons that it is good. Its like reshuffling the deck of cards untill you get what you want. No one likes that kind of game. Sure the action "looks" good but is it a making of the teams or the FIA. I think its the later.....actually Im sure of it.

 

The rules are the same for everyone. If Brawn did a better job with their car than everyone else, so be it, they deserve to win. The old system led to horribly boring, processional racing. If that's your cup of tea, great for you, but most people prefer it this way. I seriously doubt the rules were changed so Brawn and Button would dominate.

 

In that F1 is entertainment first and foremost are you surprised?
Sometimes we forget that we, the dedicated and informed, are a minority among F1 fans. If the sport had to rely on our support exclusively it wouldn't exist.

 

First, what I realize now in that this is one of the best F1 seasons in the last 30 years. I am not sure why you do not see this. I plan to watch every Europena event. Certainly, the FIA wrote the rules that EVERYONE must abide, but so what? It works. We are seeing different winners this year, that is wonderful for the sport. I have no sympathy for the teams that did not consider the diffusers, including Ferrari.

Second, Brawn in private is known not to be a Hamiltonian, so I doubt if the original post in this thread is true. Consider, Hamiton would not accept a #2, and Brawn would never dupicate Mclaren's mistakes. Hamilton is not completely off the hook. His apology did likely prevent him from beng suspended for the balance of the season, but not much else. Fact reamains, he lied, a serious issue in Charlie Whiting's thinking.

If McLaren gets suspended for any races or the rest of the season, which I would hope they are not, Hamilton will watch the races with his girlfriend.

 

Rubens was desperate to get that seat, rumor has it his contract is ****.

 

Low base + $ bonus per point + bonus if Brawn wins a championship, per published reports. Seems to be a gamble that's paying off so far.

 

Please, cut the crap. Hambone a true gentleman? For admitting what he did? After lying twice to the stewards. It doesn't matter if he was told to lie, he still lied. He had a choice, and he chose to lie. Then he passes off the blame to Dave Ryan. The worst part though, was that he stood by quietly while Jarno Trulli got punished undeservingly.
