Have anybody experience in driving porsche 959? Is 959 really something interesting or slow old car? Thanks.
    Acceleration of 959 enough good...times:
    993 turbo 0-200kph = 15.1sec
    996 turbo 0-200kph = 14.6sec
    964 turbo S 3.3(381hp) 0-200kph = 14.2sec
    996 turbo S 0-200kph = 13.6sec
    997 turbo 0-200kph = 12.1sec

    959 0-200kph = 12.7sec
What about 959's safety in potencial wrecks-crashes?

And excuse me for english :)

I don't think performance should be the priority when considering a purchase of 959. You would buy it for what the 959 represented when it first was brought to market.

you have to really love the 959 to buy one. State of the art in it's day, and the precursor to the 996TT tech. However, it is still a dinosaur compared to the 996 or later. You can get that tech and more for a fraction of the price. More modern awd system, motor, electronics, and more.
From a collector standpoint, it goes to the 959. But if you want a car you don't have to worry about and can just drive, the 996tt or 997tt.

996 and 997tt is simple modern fast cars. 959 - supercar. Very interesting how 959 in real deal (no any tracks. Fast city driving) ?
From collector standpoint i prefer morgan aeromax, spyker C8 double 12, maserati shamal, mercedes SL73 etc....

+1 on sensations. How does the car make you feel?

Funny because the original post was strictly performance numbers and how safe the car is. To me the last two things you would be concerned with if you were going for sensation.

If I was buying a car for sheer beauty and collectibility (is that even a word) it would be the 959. The others are just cars...the 959 is rolling art.

When you turn your car on, does it return the favor? (stolen from Cadillac commercial)

    That's whats important.

Unfortunately it was overshadowed by the F-40. I never took to the looks of the 959 - just looked cumbersome whereas the F-40 was brutal, yet was beautiful at the same time.

F40 - streetlegal track car. 959 even today is good for normal use. For example, Bodo Bushman drive 959 sometimes. Of course, black :D

Maximum we take from 997tt in Moscow - about 700hp, acceleration +- ferrari enzo, zonda F.
959 2.85L engine must be much more interesting)

Did you say daily use? :) That is until the repair bills start to come in. 959 repairs make F40 look like a bargain. Non standard tires alone are a pain.

    F40 over 959.
