They too have apparently concluded that their implementation of it is not reliable. Domenicali stated that they have more basic problems with the car to concentrate on at this point in time.

I wonder if the KERS says "Magneti Marelli" on it?

Wonder if they take the system out all together to make the car lighter, or just disconnect it.

I think the other issue is the weight/ballast trade off as well.

It has also been reported that Kubica will try KERS in China, at least in practice. BMW's KERS seems to work much better but their only problem is -as I understand it- the combined weight of the apparatus and Kubica, who is just a big guy.

From what I can gather there will be no kers system as there is talk of having to work out weight distribution issues. They still don't feel comfortable with the system.

IIRC, they had KERS problems in both races.

No ****! - It nearly blew Kimi's nuts off last time out :)

I don't know about "them", but I'm pretty sure Kimi's none to comfortable with the system right now.....

However, as I've said before, I think the whole thing is good for F1 - Get these guys thinking / pushing the limits - Yep, it's a little "contrived" right now but it's not often in F1 that they have such "flexibility" - The jury is still very much out on whether you should even run the system, which I think is pretty cool [Dons flamesuit :)]

    Cheers,
    Ian

Make sure that flamesuit is not made of asbestos. (but if it is, I can give you an 800 number for a good law firm)

Big step in the right direction. They need to keep things simple until they get their act together. Get rid of the pit lights too.

Why?.... It's one of the few things that appears to be working correctly at present....... Which I realize isn't saying a lot :(

It may also give them a bigger fuel cell - part of the fuel cell space is given over to the battery packs as I understand it.

    Oh, great....... :-(

When I was growing up we were debating which was the dirtiest word in the car biz, Magneti Marelli or Lucas. In the early 80's both were absolute crap. Especially when compared to Bosch and such.

Times have changed. Now Magneti Marelli is at the same level as Bosch. A few friends of mine had Audis, Volkswagens and that kind of German crap and everything that broke in those cars was labeled Bosch. WTF?

The lose of KERS hasn't gone well for them so far and it's probably not going to either.
