If you are interested in seeing F1 populated by well designed, competitive cars he will be missed. Under his stewardship McLaren has been one of the top teams for many years. Of course, if you don't want Ferrari to have real competition ........

Ian this Pitpass link reports that Anthony Sr and Max were coordinating this exit. Amazing if true.

Not a bad way to repay the man that they owe his career too! Now I believe that Hamilton is a liar and a backstabber to boot! Hamilton would be nowhere without Dennis. As much as I don't like him he has done some amazing things. I would be kissing his A$$ if I were him.

For a couple of years, I did not like Lewis. I have grown to respect him. And, now I have come to the realization that the reason I did not like Lewis had a lot to do with the fact that Anthony was the one scratching the wound.

Whether you like him or not, Ron Dennis found Lewis early and invested heavily in Lewis' talent and development. I don;t care that Ron saw his own benefit in developing Lewis, because that is what team owners do.

What I do dislike is Anthony's attitude. Ron MADE Lewis WDC. And, sure, Lewis is likely to have made it to the WDC somewhere else. But the fact is that he did it at McL and RD was the boss.

Anthony should say "thank you, Ron."

No tears for Dennis. I would like to see Anthony Hamilton take a step back however, as he is not---supposed to be----a decision maker for the team.

For me, RD defined the sport more than any other team principle. He worked his way up through the ranks and rebuilt McLaren into a powerhouse with his determination and skill. He didn't have the same unlimited budget of Ferrari (my fave team) Toyota or Honda but he remained competitive each year despite working with one fiscal hand tied behind his back. He did more with less and this is a sign of his ability on the business and racing side of the McLaren story. Sad to see him go .... at least for now.

Let's see .... Max's embarassing soiree with the costumed ladies. Bernie's impending divorce which is certain to bring the sport another black eye once the details of Bernie's greed emerge. Jean Todt's stealthy departure and now RD's fade to black actions under a cloud of controversy. The F1 sideshow circus from management is far more interesting than anything coming from the driver's these days. At least we still have Flavio to add some color to the sport when the racing gets boring once again.

Can't wait for Max and Bernie to exit the scene as sometimes the sport has the appearance and credibility of pro wrestling!

Inside Grand Prix on SPEED had a segment talking about Hamilton's debt to Ron Dennis and Hami publically thanking Ron and saying how he owes everything to McLaren, etc. Interesting timing on that piece.

I can't stand "Inside Grand Prix": There is rarely anything on we don't know already and it is such a Disney version of F1. Everything is wonderful, every driver is just great and every car and team is just making fantastic progress.

I'm totally into F1, but that show makes me wanna puke. The worst has to be a blindfolded Nico Rosberg drawing the map of the track. Pinatas are for children.

yup, the show is totally ridiculous. i used to like the VR drive through of the circuit but now someone had the genius idea to sell autographed blindfolded scribbles.

i just found it interesting that they highlighted hamilton and his career for apparently no reason.

    I hear you.

The segment on Speed I like is the opening moments before their GP feed starts: They have very interesting season recaps with great pictures and sound.

Some of their tech segments are interesting but the rest tends to be a waste of photons.
