Kimi was just utter useless for todays race. I'm just so happy for Vettel. Really sad for Massa...he was flying from 13 to 3rd during those conditions when the way i heard, was the gearbox failing...

Congrats to RedBull, Vettel, and finally Webber scored a decent result.

Im also happy for Buemi. Very very impressive for a rookie. Like i mentioned pre season. They should have given the 2nd seat to Sato rather than to SeaBass.

it was never a true 3rd place though - as it was artificially caused by the round of pit stops
still your right he did drive well and his retirement was undeserved

That he's a great driver with a bright future. Nothing we didn't really know yet. The whole show today is rather strange, they're celebreating the 300th race broadcasted by that TV station and have Lauda, Ralf Schumacher and Mika Häkkinen assembled in their studio... which is the studio of the German "America's Idol" equivalent, they spend 90% of the time to celebrate themselves instead of talking about the race today, which is a bit sad given their expert lineup!

I think Massa would have finished in the top 5 even through the pit stops.

I can't believe I shot off 70 posts on the race. I'm off to bed.

Would, should, could. It might be that you have a different view of what sandbagging is, but to me it involves hiding a completely dominant performance, and than use that performance advantage to decimate the opposition and not relying on external factors (wet race for example).

Sandbagging in such a competitive field and with developments at such a high rate is complete nonsense. No team can affort it right now. Unless your definition of sandbagging is different ofcourse.

Vettel is the rain master....Ferrari a mess; can't wait to read the umpteenth "we must improve" comment....Keep the KERS and use it so it will (hopefully) be reliable next year.

Massa had a nice race while it lasted, Kimi's lost (again)....

Strategic decision time - do Ferrari right this season off and concentrate on 2010 and the arrival of Santander sponsorship and maybe Alonso or continue to develop the car this season?

I think Ferrari made a massive blunder with the KERS. They should have used it. And i hope they will use it for Bahrain. There's so much of straights there, look how easily Hammi overtook and pulled away from Kimi.

KERS has been too problematic with wet races for them to use it this weekend.

It wasn't a tactical blunder, Schumi said that they wanted to use it, but its reliability was too questionable. They didn't think it would have lasted through the race.

They won't write off this season as far as developing the car is concerned. As far as we know (for the moment!) the regulations for next year's cars aren't going to be substantially different from those for this year, so any development this year is also development for next year.

US announcers still all quiet about my boy RB, but he is still within one DNF of being in the lead of the drivers title. Loooong way to go. But this year will be very interesting.

KERS and diffuser are simply not going to do it this year. Luca should make the decision to focus on 2010 starting with a new management team.

Well, Luca is running out of TVs to throw things at, and the team is running out of senior people to 're-organize' with. This is just horrible. They've got reliability issues, performance issues, strategy issues and a very expensive driver who would rather have an ice cream.

Perhaps Stefano should call Ross Brawn and ask if Ross would consider a customer car supply deal to Ferrari :) Desperate times indeed.

Nice that CVette and Mac Webbah finished ahead of the Brawndas but for a rain race, that one was a yawner.

Agreed. Synchronized swimming, without the bikinis. ;)

We have to start calling Bernie "the Hobbit": Bored at the Rings. :(

Lots of action .... like a demolition derby.

There might have been a couple of decent passes, lost in the clouds there.
But not much of an overtaking "battle" when the leading driver can't see you coming.
Or is taking a tour of the grasslands.

But I still haven't seen any penalties about that Kubica / Trulli collision. Don't tell me the stewards have upped their dietary fiber. ;)

I'm not going to bother looking for the inevitable "Massa in the Wet" comments -- despite his having pulled from 13th to 3rd in a heavy car, before the electronic let him down.
(The McLaren - Microsloth electronics, remember? :p)
(A "blue screen" clashes with a red car.)
