Anyone heading out this weekend? I should be there Saturday and Sunday. I know I've seen quite a few of you there in the past. No Audis in ALMS, but the reunified IndyCar should offer a deeper field. The celeb field looks pretty good too with Keanu, Alex Trebek, Adrien Brody, Raven Simone...wait. http://www.gplb.com/
I think there's a lot of people going down as part of the "Mothers" group(s). I'll be down there Sunday, same place as last year.
I went to the inagural F5000 race, and all the F1 races. When F1 left, so did I. When F1 returns, so will I.
I'm heading over with the Mothers exotic car paddock group as well. The group is really large this year, 100+ cars, and lots of extra perks this time around. The pre event drives are also a hoot. Fun and a good deal (for those that have not participated, look into it next year). Looks like the weather will be great too, see ya all there.
Frank - I'll be there tomorrow - last day out of 3 - have already taken 2k+ shots! ALMS is a bit sad this year - Risi only has 1 430GT, no Audis / Porsches Prototypes, only 4 P1 cars, few more P2s... and the Vettes racing themselves in GT1. At least IRL is a "bit" more high tech than CART - not much - but a little more... haha

It very much was! Did you guys see Boris Said's fire? I was about 20 feet from it - but by the time I ran to get some photos - the fire was already mostly out. I did get some "toasted Corvette" shots - I'll post them later!
It WAS a great day. Maybe the best day I've ever spent at the GP. It might have taken a little too much out of me though. Not sure I'll be up for it again tomorrow. I suppose if someone was offering a ride in an exotic from HB, I might be persuaded though. If I don't make it Sunday, have fun and be safe all.
