    Fantastic race and wonderful result!

    Congratulations Vettel and Buemi!

How much longer until Ferrari signs Vettel?

As soon as Ferrari lawyers find the fine print in Kimi's contract.

    Money!!

Apart from that, Alonso switched from a championship winning Renault to a messy McLaren. Why shouldn´t he switch from a messy Renault to a messy Ferrari?

Doesn't matter. As long as Ferrari gets Vettel, things will improve. He brought Minardi, err Toro Rosso the first victory. He brought Red Bull the first victory and he'll lead Ferrari back to victory and championships.

    Senna -> Schumacher -> Vettel

I'd rather like them to find the fine print of Luca's shoe soles on Kimi's backside... ;)

What Ferrari needs right now are development drivers. Which they have, with Phil.

They also desperately need to get pit strategists who can think on their feet.

The more I see of Ferrari in recent years, the more convinced I am that Schumi and Rubens were doing their own race strategy from the cockpits. The pit wall in red is useless.
(Or, at least, has been useless since Brawn and Todt have left.)

We need Todt and Brawn back... while I admit that the chance of Brawn switching to Ferrari again is, ehm, not that big.

The name is Felipe. Not Phil Hill. Not Schumassa.

Great job by Vettel, Webber, and the entire Red Bull team today!

Would Vettel actually go to Ferrari? I mean, he is winning races right now, would he really want to go to a team with such a poor car right now? Right now he is racing to have fun, he has plenty of time to rake in the cash later on...

Vettel is "owned" by Red Bull and is not going anywhere. Red Bull and Dieter have all the money they need to keep him.

Superior driving done by Vettel and Webber. I’m almost positive, that we will see that again this season.
Now I’m hoping, Ferrari would consider taking Vettel as one of there drivers in 2011?

I believe it is wrong to assume that Raikkonen is not trying. Unless, of course, you have access to the personal opinion of the two D's. He does not appear to be much as far as development is concerned, but to think that on race day he is not pushing every lap is a mistake. The car sucks at this point, it is not all the driver's fault.

And I am reading the same comments about Vettel as we have read about Hamilton. I guess now Vettel replaces Hamilton as the next Senna/Schumacher?? For me, its just little too early to tell.

Schumacher is from a distance doing the same "coaching" of Vettel as he did/does for Massa, and look at Massa's improvement in the last 24 months. Unless Schumacher is gonig to surprise us all with his own team with Vettel as a driver, I think it would reasonable to believe that Vettel will drive a Ferrari, as early as 2010.

^Ron, i think, Vettel has it all to be in the Senna-MS league. Great with midfield cars. Great in the wet. No reaction to any pressure. A team player. Doesn't dwell in the past and prefer to look towards the future.

Personally, based on this season so far, i'm mighty impressed with 2 drivers - Vettel and Buemi.

Vettel, Alonso or Senna's ghost are not going to make a difference at Ferrari. Ferrari is suffering from last years title chase, but more importantly, the ban on testing. McLaren has been the leader in developing an F1 simulator; Ferrari always had Fiorano. With all new developments coming from computational fluid dynamics, there isn't much Kimi or Felipe can do until Friday mornings....which is evident by McLaren's developments over Ferrari.
In the past Ferrari would be hammering around Fiorano the Tuesday after every race...

As much as I adore Vettel, that's the part that is already getting on my nerves: He is starting to sound like Schumacher in his interviews. Team, team, team, blablabla. There is no Team in I!

I think it is silly to give up on Ferari for this year. They are still deciding if KERS is the way to gpo, figuring out exactly where to ballast the car if they don't use it, and need to develop the rear diffuser. I think within the next 4 or 5 races they will be back near (or at) the front.

Even if they are near the front in 5 races, what exactly are they going to then?

How do you close a 60 point gap in 9 races against a competition who will continue to be on the podium?

What is silly, is to think it is not over yet.

There sure are a lot of fair weather Ferrari fans here. I supported Ferrari when they were losing in the '80s and '90s, when they were winning in the early-mid '00s and I still support them now, including both drivers. I don't think Kimi is quite giving his all, although he has easily outqualified Massa this year to be fair. Massa has been racing his heart out, only to be let down by the car. I hope they can bounce back, but regardless, I am still a fan in good and bad times.

Completely true. But for fear of re-starting an old thread, Kimi has never struck me as a guy who holds any particular affection for Ferrari (or anyone else). You don't get passion. He's clearly a guy with extreme talent, but his lack of commitment to go the extra mile with the team seems to rear its head over and over again.

I think to Kimi, it's just a team with a (previously competitive) red car that's going to pay him a sh1tload of money to drive.
