I remember seeing one of these, or certainly something very similar, in the workshops of a 'Very famous digger manufacturer' (and it wasn't 4399GT thats was nearby and i was paying it slightly more attention!),

The workshop manager, who it was the person i was with, was there to see, said he thought it was a "Nimbo or Nembo something or other" and that he didn't get involved with the boss's or Christopher's cars and they used to leave them there for the "experts to collect"..."and can you come away from the cars please!"

At which point i was ushered away from that end of the workshops!

    Yes indeed!

Strange how the gentleman who started this thread has gone silent...might he have something to do with the one offering the mysterious 250GT in southern Italy a few months ago? No offense meant, just a thought:)

Well if you look at the website of the one who started this thread he is really trying to promote more or less defined tours and trade in Italy and I think he used the photos in post 1 rhetorically, as in this is the SORT of car you COULD see if you come on our tours....but it reminded me so much of the chap in southern Italy a few months ago with his mystery car that I pounced:)

It look to me like 2 different cars in the photos. #56 appears to be the real thing, while the other may be a Tom Meade special.

If I'm following this right. The gold car is a 250 Fantuzzi Spider, '58, I think, now red and in PA, the red car is a '66 330 Fantuzzi Spider, now in Westhampton, NY.

I have no idea if this is the person the poster was referring to, but Sir Anthony Bamford of the UK is the owner of a couple of 250GTO's (yes, more than 1), an SWB and several other Ferraris and he is the owner of JCB, which is an manufacturer of earthmoving equipment. It might be this what/who was referred to. His estate was used for the Victory by Design videos (the track around the lake where the cars are driven).

Actually it is the other way round: the gold body is now red on the chassis of 8733 in Long Island and th red car is 2235 which is in Pennsylvania.

4381, the 330LMB which was under the gold body in the movie is now back to a 300LMB body and has been for quite a few years.

    best regards,

    Marc
