Don't forget that one of the most important parts of this event is the fund raising and contributions to the local charities in the area. They are VERY happy for the infusion. You don't have to be a member of the FCA for that either.
Is it too much to ask for a bit warmer weather this year? Leslie would like to donate a couple more pieces of her ceramic art for the charity auction, and I may bring a friend with an F430 who has never been to a club event before. I will still be driving my distinctly non-euro ride though ...unless someone needs a driver! -Tad Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just joined FCA, now i am waiting for the membership packet. I will be driving my Scuderia to Cannon Beach, looking forward to see you all !
Welcome to the zoo. Are you planing on being a keeper or one of the animals? Seriously, generally a nice group, just look out for Rovente, wrong side of bed or no coffee first thing in the morning. Know what I mean.................................I'm going to pay for that.
You guys are a couple of weeks too late. It is beautiful down here right now. We jumped the gun and took a little road trip down now rather than wait for the rain and grey in May. BTW thanks, to whoever recommended Newmans for dinner. Great choice. We also had a terrific pizza slice for lunch at Pizza y feta or something like that. It was really really good pizza and I'm pretty picky when it comes to pizza. And no one has spotted me and I've been in all the spotting zones, Seattle, Pierce, Portland and I guess Cannon Beach doesn't have a spotter's thread. Stealth rules.... david
Glad you liked Newmans and Pizza a Fetta; they're our regular spots without the kids and with them, respectively. After pizza, you can finish up with an ice cream cone from Osburne's across the street.
Welcome to the club as well as meeting you. Make sure you contact the club foe info to drive down with everyone. The drive down with everyone is a blast. Can you post up some pics of you scud? What a great car
Doesn't look like the SLR will be making the trip. I uhh... well...there seems to be a hole in the front left tire and it's going "Sssssss".... A little problem with backing it onto the lift...Me no good navigator
i agree on the weather. forecast says rain again mid 50's. this would be the 3rd year in a row with the rain at least one day. william don't forget to send wintermantle your info. I'm shocked he hasn't sent out much yet. Must not be a lot of people signed up
Everyone in the club should have received an email on 4/16 with instuctions from Steve Wintermantel on how to sign up for the Cannon Beach weekend and pay for the dinner and other activities. Checks or PayPals need to be sent to me ASAP for $50 per person to reserve your spots. PM me if you have any questions. You must be an FCA member to attend the dinner, display at the car show, etc... The public is welcome to view the car show on Saturday evening. Gary Reed Club Treasurer
i got the mail about sign ups just haven't received anything about the friday drives. the 4 of us haven't decided on the dinner saturday.
Thank you ! Here are pictures of my Scuderia. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wouldn't put too much stock in a 10-day out forecast. FWIW, just checking the weather channel showed partly cloudy with a high of 63 for Friday.
Last year we assembled a group in Beaverton for the day trip. Would like to repeat if we have enough folks.
