    I bought a salvaged title 05 2005 Mini Cooper S about two weeks ago, just wanted to share various stages of it progress. The car itself is fairly basic, 6 speed, CD player without a sunroof. That was the one thing I had a hard time finding in all the Minis I was looking at, every single one had a sunroof except some JCW's.

    Not current updates due to the fact employees calling in sick & so it's running three days behind, I was going to pick it up today.

    What are you doing to it? Just repairing it?

    I was convinced the R53 was going to be my next car, but then I made the mistake of driving a 1-series.

    Congrats, looks really nice!! What are your overall plans for the car; just fixing it up, track car, other?

    I LOVE my '03 MCS. Been adding all the JCW stuff, except the engine tuning.

    I want to learn the physics of the car first while it's stock. I did order strut tower reinforcement plates due to mushrooming on these cars. After that dial the suspension in, new springs, anti-sway bar, etc... I'll do some light mods & see how it does on the track.

    It's now looking like Tuesday until I get the car back but its better to have it correct without issue than rush it though.

    I just picked it up a couple of hours ago & having way too much fun driving around town. This little car handles so well! Keep in mind I didn't get to drive a r53 until now, only new & used r56's. So far there seems to be no issues, (except when I was getting on the highway I was going faster than I thought, opps!) I'll need to get some floor mats tomorrow & a ipod connection for my stock in-dash unit. Engine mods will come later.

    Nice ride,you'll enjoy the car especially after doin some mods.I have an 03's that i bought new and haven't stopped modding yet! 15% blower pulley,2% crank pulley,big intercooler,MSD ign,380cc injectors,Borla exh,H-Sport lowering springs,19mm rear bar,17x7 wheels,sticky Falken tires,Helix short shifter......etc, dynos now 214 whp....... it gets addicting.Welcome to the world of Mini.
