Owners manual is vague on driving light bulb replacement. Any insight as to whether the pan has to be removed to gain access?

    From memory,

I removed the grill, (very easy).
The turn signal lens needs to be removed. The screws in front. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO GASKETS AND 'O' RINGS.
There are two hex bolts beneath the turn signal lens that need to be removed.
Look to the inboard side of the driving light lens in the grill cavity and you will see a spring clip.
Carefully pry the forward edge of the clip inboard and it will release the driving light housing so it can swing forward a little.
Once the inboard side of the light is loose a gap should appear on the outboard side.
Carefully pry (with non-metallic tools/fingers), alternate inboard /outboard, working the light assy forward.
There will be some resistance because the aft side of the driving light assy is located in the body cavity with dowels.
The further you work the light out the easier it gets.
Once loose from the car you can unhook wiring and remove the cover over the back of the driving bulb socket and make your change.

Before re-installation thoroughly clean the cavity and terminals/plugs. Coat all connections with dielectric grease.
