At a V8Supercar meeting a couple of years ago, a previous owner of an AU Falcon race car managed to convince a court to take possession of that car due to monies allegedly owed. The VESA/CAMS logbook recorded the passing of 'ownership' of the vehicle from one party to another

There was a broker involved... and the broker was said to have withheld the said sum as their commission allegedly without agreement to do so

The car was impounded at that meeting, and didnt take any further part in the weekend's proceedings

The bloke who thought he was the owner bought another car, and that driver won the next round after starting from pitlane...

A sale isnt a sale until the cash is in the bank and the paperwork (bill of sale, deposit slips, broker contract, logbook, note from mum...) is in order...
