Not sure but my hip pocket response is, yes, I likely would.

Pointing out that Wax had posted a link that at that point in time had been vandalized? Heck yea. It was, if anything... funny! It was funny to see Wiki embarrassed.


For goodness sake, is this a Presidential election? Am I or any one who may or may not be in line to be a mod supposed to be Saint Paul? Was Lamoore? Is Wax or Yish or Dave? Is Rob? Are you...? Mark edited posts by spammers and trolls to talk abut there small wee-wees for gosh sake. Is a mod to be dead? a saint? a the pillar of the community? and is either or both really possible?

If you look at just about any thread in P&R, Wikipedia is cited as if it were a printed copy from Encyclopedia Britannica. Hell, I even use it from time to time. If anything, that quote and the records for that page at wiki are indicative of the trouble with wiki, ie, any one can edit it at anytime.

Plus it was funny to see wiki embarrassed... again.

 

How messed up are we really? In general, our society can't get enough of its beautiful celebrities/performers. So much so, that when some middle-aged plain-Jane turns up with a decent voice, people are tripping over themselves in dumbfounded awe. It's as if a plain-looking woman doesn't deserve to be talented. I watched her video and thought the best part was seeing everyone's reaction.

 

THis is a P&R subject because it really speaks to how superficial human being are. And its not a new development. We have always been that way...

The only reason appearances SEEMED less important in the past is because we didnt have the access that we do now. Singers were for the most part only HEARD and not SEEN.

 

Same thing in politics; the Kennedy/Nixon debate. Nixon looked like a corpse, Kennedy looked, well, like Kennedy.

 

She had a great semifinal performance.

I hope the papparazzi and the publicity don't chew her up and spit her out.

To be honest, I really don't think she should win. When she gets off the show, she will get another chance, that others might not get. There are definitely other great contenders on the show that deserve to win as well.

Don't know who I want to win, but regardless I think if she loses I recon simon will sign her anyhow.

 

Surprisingly enough Susan Boyle did not win.

Diversity won. They were exceptionally good though (IMO).

I watched the whole show and I must say it was very entertaining and enjoyably for the most part.
