Anyone know a great detailer in the Westchester County area? I want the works on a 360 Spider. Clay, wax, etc..... My paint just does not feel as silky as my 996 did. Is is Ferrari paint in general or just mine? Thanks.

In Harrison there is a place called SPIFFY...yes SPIFFY...lol...used to be known as the New York Motor Club....they do an exceptional job...work on all high line/exotics...Larry is the fellow you want to speak with...they even have a mobile service...come to your home if that works better for you....the truck is 100% self-contained...they use nothing of yours...ie: electricity, water.

NYMC as a club still exists, however the name of the detailing shop was changed to Spiffy. Address, contact information are all the same as before.

I will take you up on that offer. Your paint seems way smoother then mine. I actually never let anyone wash my car (except my kids who love to help). I have evey Griots product under the sun but not the random orbital. Thanks !

I have the same system from Griots and it does work quite well. My car has a 22 year old paint finish and it is no easy task in keeping it nice(like you newer f-car owners), yet their products really work well.

Joe-If your surface is not smooth, you may need to start out by claying it first.

I have never used clay before, that's why I was contemplating getting it done by a professional. any thoughts?

joe, no problem to clay a car.just have to keep surface wet with detailing spray as you glide the clay over the paint.the clay pulls off the dirt and tar.nice weekend job.afterwards you hit the paint witha light polish to remove swirls and scratches and your all set o apply fresh wax.the end result is pure shine.let me know when you need it.i have a dvd from griots that explains the whole process in detail.we can meet somewhere in wp's and i'll let you watch it before you do your car
