So I LOVE the sound of my CS exhaust in RACE with the Exhaust Valves open above 4K rpm, with Hyperflow cats it might as well be a straight through pipe, heaven on earth. HOWEVER, my 430 Spider sounds far more guttoral/deep at low revs too (yes I know much of that is due to the 4.3 vs 3.6 Litre engine) and on start up, whilst the CS sounds like a KITTEN. I know I can pull or adjust the exhaust valves but then it sounds like an agricultural tractor at low RPM, which is not exactly impressive. SO does anybody make an exhaust system which makes my CS sound more like a 430 or should I just part ex it for a SCUD ???

I had that exhaust on my stradale...it was a monster!! Very loud...all the time! There was no walking softly when you just wanted to glide home with out awaking the neighbours at 3 am (or the wife ;) ). I loved it! :)

Richard- The fundamental difference in the exhaust systems on your CS and 430, I think, may because the exhaust bypass mechanism on the CS is way simpler and is fully closed until 2920 rpm and heavy throttle. I believe your 430 exhaust may be like my 575M, open at idle and then closed from ~1000-~3000 rpm and then reopening at that rpm and some power factor (64% on my 575M). It is a later generation system. Easy to check, just look at the bypass valves with the engine idling. Mine are open at idle. The later Motronics made it easier to tailor the bypass valve opening schedule.

What is the magnitude of difference for a 360 CS between a normal Tubi and an NGT ?

Tubi has three systems that will work on a Stradale.

Tubi NGT is the loudest and the lightest. Small muffler wrapped in aluminum quilted heat protection. This is quite loud. I had one for a while but found myself starting to drive too gently just to keep the noise down. But if you want the maximum Stradale sound this is it!Very agressive on start-up and at the race track everyone knows the Stradale is out there.

Tubi Stradale system. This is a mid level approach and actually very rare. This is what I have on my car now. Very good noise at start up and enough noise for driving around day to day. But still plenty of 5 valve Ferrari sound on hard acceleration.

Tubi 360 is the quietest of the group and probably not enough for a Stradale but louder than the Stradale system with the exhaust valve closed.

Capristo make three systems as well. One of them has an electric valve system that can open with a touch of a button as I remember.

    Good shopping!!

I'd recommend the Tubi NGT. I love mine. Car never sounds like a kitten, and personally, I don't ever think it's too loud. BTW, I have a newer system, and mine is polished stainless, not that quilted look.

I LOVE the tubi NGT (thanks to Ducati) Its loud but not insane

When I want to destroy my eardrums I take out the F40 with no cats no muffler. Its not loud inside but it could scare the **** out of ppl when passing at WOT, so that is always a concern

Tubi NGT is never a concern IMO

Both cars allow me to shift using my ears not my eyes, which is what I like

Tony where did you get your Capristo and exactly which model is it please, looks like it should be that or a Tubi Stradale Exhaust to keep the Swiss police off my back, NGT probably too much in that respect

TBH, I have yet to hear an exhaust to match the bellow of the standard when those valves open, the only thing I am tempted to try is de-cat with the standard exhaust, will it trigger the engine management lightr/run roughly????

No not if done properly. Ive heard of a bunch of 360s that dont have any cel problems. Listen to JRS's car and you will change your mind about the standard car.

All very useful but I guess it would be best if I could keep my existing CS OEM valve set up and just replace the main exhaust canister

Correction, mine is the GTC pictured above. Don't know if the sound is different from the NGT, but again- it's great!

The best of Both Worlds !

Tubi make a Canister which matches with the CS OEM Exhaust Value System, so when fitted, its a Tubi at low revs and No Exhaust at WOT !!! Just what I wanted, Manu at Scuderia Systems is very helpful.

I have a tubi ngt muffler on my CS. The rest of the exhaust system is stock CS and the sound is just perfect.Loud and high pitched but not mind boggling.

NGT and GTC do away with the bypass, it's a different setup.

If you were to unplug the valves on this system does that lose the tractor sound of the standard system?
