What a great event, despite the weather. I had a great time taking pictures and it was a pleasure meeting and talking with everyone. Here is a sample of the pics and rest are in the link below. I have a lot more pictures so if you want something you don't see please email me or shoot me a PM. Thanks everyone, hopefully this event will go on for many years.

P.S. I hope everyone got home safely, rain was getting pretty bad for awhile there.

I didn't see any pics of those - and I didn't realize we had a 365 GTC in the region.

    Here is the GTC. http://gallery.chrisschlumpf.com/p/williamsburg_winery_52-53_2009/img_044126

The owner is cobraownr on here, I was talking to him today and he also has an original cobra, GT40 and a Daytona.

Luke, I can't remember who got what award, but there was the people's choice, winemaker's choice, furthest drive, iconoclast and one other that doesn't come to mind right now.

Finally, my "ME" post! Had a great time - ya gotta love the shot with DD! :D
Thanks to all of you guys again who put this on - fantastic job, and great to meet all of you for the first time, I look forward to our reunion there next year!
Some guy at a stoplight on the way home rolled down is window and said, "Man, I had to tell you, your car sounds SWEEET!". This was right after we pulled in for a pit stop and half the town of BFE Maryland had come up to admire Don's 365GTC. Don, we need to catch up soon - it was a pleasure.

What a GREAT day to celebrate the Inaugural event of the Ferrari's on the Vine at the Williamsburg Winery. I would like to give a "Special" Thank You to Courtney Darden and John Dowling for giving me this special opportunity to come and take pictures. To the Duffeler's for hosting us!! I unfortunately could not make it for the whole weekend (just today) but I wasn't disappointed.

EVERYONE that I spoke to had nothing but great things to say about the event. From the wonderful facility to the hosts of the event to the Winery staff. It was a pleasure getting a chance to speak briefly with Derek Daly!! Everything went off without a hitch as least as far as I could see.

Unfortunately, the weather held off as long as it could and then the skies opened up just as the awards were about to be given out. Oh well...what can you do? The event organizers quickly moved us into a tent covered area so the awards could be given out.

For those of you who couldn't make it this year...I would pencil in the 2nd Annual Ferrari's on the Vine for the 1st Weekend of May (next year 2010). YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

    Enjoy the pics!!

Chris, great shots!!! It was great meeting you FINALLY. I think you're a bad influence on me...as I was stuck in traffic from the 295/95 Merge all the way up to Fredericksburg I kept thinking about the Canon 40D. :) Something to get my mind off of traffic. Looking forward to seeing you at future events!

Great shots to both Chris and Bill. Im a "wanna-be amateur photographer" in the sense. I have the Nikon D40x with just the kit lenses. Still learning the ropes. How are you guys posting larger pics on this site? Everytime I try to post large pics it tells me im over on the image file limit. Are you guys compressing them before uploading to a site?

To the best of my knowledge, there is an 800 pixel maximum width or height, which ever comes first. I have 2 separate photoshop actions, one for portrait, one for landscape, both reduce the resolution to 72dpi and then 800 pixels on the corresponding orientation. The 800 pixel maximum pixel height is somewhat standard. Some websites want even smaller files. Hope this helps.

    cheers

    Hey Chris,

Ken is right you want to make sure that before you post ANY picture on FChat, that you resize them. Don't let Fchat try to do it for you because the conversion will make your shot look horrible. The max. size you want is 800x600.

You can resize photos in any program like: Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Paint Shop Pro, Paint.NET.

    I hope that helps?

Just wanted to see if there is any interest in putting together a photo book of the event, I think it would turn out very nice especially as a 1st time event.
