HAHAHAH, I love the reaction on the cameraman. "Jesus Christ, I got this on tape." "Jesus, I got this." ROFL.
The fact that he spun off set and hit a pedestrian who has no involvement in the movie is most likely gonna result in a huge lawsuit. Wonder what that means for the future of this film??
Sport Mode likely would have kept the car pointed in the right direction. While it's exciting to be around a movie being filmed, if there's going to be stunt driving or any chance of danger, you'd think the set would be closed and everyone on the sidewalks paid to be there.

I guess Eddie Griffin can't find anymore acting jobs, so he has become a stunt driver. After this failure, whats next? Crash test dummy? LOL
Ive been on hundreds of film sets and Im shocked that the sidewalks were open to pedestrians while such dangerous stunt driving was going on. I dont think Ive ever seen that before. Usually its all closed off and everyone is an extra if its a stunt drive. If its just a simple picture car then you leave it open to pedestrians. Not only is the studio getting sued but the CITY is going to get sued for allowing the sidewalks to stay open while this was going on.
The main word in all of the headlines that the media focuses on in this unfortunate accident is "Ferrari", which gives all of us owners a bad name. Like we all drive like this.
Wow that lady in the white is very lucky. She could of been struck a lot harder by the car....AND the newspaper box that the car tapped in her direction missed her as well. It would of been a lot worse for her if she was a few inches in a different direction.
Sorry to be blunt but...Screw you, pal. Seriously, if you think it's funny or laughable that an innocent bystander (it was NOT an extra) gets mowed down by a car dropping a light pole during a feature film shoot, you SHOULD feel guilty. This is a large production company funded by Disney Corp. that put their budget and their schedule ahead of safety and common sense. People living in the neighborhood came close to dying for it. I've seen film shoots in Time Square before and I've seen car chase scenes being set up. I've never, ever heard of a production using an open set like that with a wet road in the middle of the city. Un-be-lievable.
When seen in slow-motion it almost looks like the guy under the pole worked pretty hard to get there.
Thats where I saw it too. I saw the video several times before I saw it on Fox and never noticed that the guy ran to the pole instead of away from it. Amazing reflexes on his part.
Enjoy your high moral ground. Pity you don't see too clearly from up there and choose to interpret my post to say a lot more than it does.
Is this perhaps an example of "viral" advertising to get publicity for the movie (like the Christian Bail Terminator rant). Given how litigious the States is, I am amazed that people were allowed on the set.
Another crash last night. It's time for them to halt production and get their team in order. Reckless behavior. http://www.nypost.com/seven/05062009/news/regionalnews/manhattan/2nd_car_crash_in_3_days_for_film_crew_167897.htm 8 crew members injured.
