MN spotted 2009

oh i know yellow is a ledgendary color for the lambo...

but you would think that when buying a car like that when theres only under 10 in the state, that maybe you would want yours to be slightly different then the other 50%? part of the thrill of owning a car like that is standing out from the others! heh. Ill give him credit though, it IS the first yellow SPYDER!

I think I know why there are so many yello Gallardos in the state: yellow is GOOD. I may never be able to afford one, but if I did, I would choose the color on how much I like them, not how many of that color are in my area.

On a spotter's note: I followed a brand new black Nissan GTR down washington ave for a while.

I went to maser of minneapolis cause i saw the new alfa in the window, but when i pulled in I saw a silver AM vanquish parked in the customer parking area out front... talk about a plesant suprise


after that i didnt even look at the alfa

 

Today was a good day for bringing out a nice car. I saw around 7 corvette C6, Cayenne Turbo, rare Cayenne S "titanium edition", e60 M5 in bloomington, and a gray Nissan GTR in woodbury.

 

I still haven't taken my babies out yet but I did at least clear the first hurdles (washing off the sand/salt from the garage floor, putting the summer tires on my 330i ZHP). I'll probably have my old Vette or Ferrari out of the garage within the next couple weeks. The nice weather is finally getting here!

As nice as the weather was today, I expected to see more toys on the road than I did. There was a nice Z4 M at Lakewinds in Minnetonka. I saw a Maserati coupe and a new Jaguar XK convertible on Penn Ave. There were a couple of guys exercising their S4s on 394 eastbound around 1:30. I saw two or three C5 Vettes and a couple of Porsches. Doesn't anyone around here own a Ferrari?!?

 

I was driving behind a black Audi R8 on WI plates today across the I94 bridge...it was quick!

 

Saw a yellow Gallardo spyder on 394 westbound yesterday around 6:35 pm. Anybody from here?

 

damnit, i have about 5 friends who have seen that car around, but not me!! that thing gets DRIVEN!

anyways, some spottings:

- dark brown maserati 4 door spotted in the ciao bella parking lot this morning
- awesome looking delorean spotted in eden prairie at the walgreens on hwy 5 last night...
- POS black countach kit car on excelsior blvd last night. damn near had a heart attack as i saw it in my rear view and thought it was real for a fraction of a second...

Well, today after C&C, I spotted a black M6 convt., 911 Turbo (997), Bentley Cont. GT, the 575M from earlier, a brand new SL63 AMG, and a blue M6 coupe (different from C&C)

 

Saw a red 430 on 100N

 

Saw Paul308 in Hugo driving the 308 (beautiful car). I know when we drove through the intersection we gave some people whiplash.

 

That was fun seeing you behind me Pat! I noticed you first at the stoplight behind me. I wasn't sure it was you or a Lotus but I had glanced in my mirror at the light and thought "is that a Lotus?" (you were close enough that I didn't have much of a view of your whole car). Then when the light turned green and I had a little distancd on you, I could tell it was you. That was so much fun! I was really hoping you would follow me on my little joy ride through the country but you were headed off toward the lake. For a brief moment, we made 61 a slightly prettier road! And just think...our brief little drive together wasn't even planned. How many times does that happen when two f-chatters just happen to end up following each other on a drive without planning it? Too cool...

 

Saw a black Murcielago coupe driving near Lake Calhoun a couple days ago - haven't seen that color in MN before...was on other side of the road so didn't get much time, couldn't tell if it was a 640 or not. But appeared jet black with black rims. No time to see what kind of plates were on it either. Beautiful!

 

Saw a grey Nissan GTR near St. Thomas.
About ten minutes later, after being redirected onto 11th St. due to 94W being backed up, I saw this cruising. Those things sure look great in red.

saw a Nissan GT-R on 94w on the bridge just before the Riverside exit last week

 

Saw a red Elise followed 30 seconds later by a red 430 Spider on 394W just past General Mills Blvd

 

Today I saw a red Corvette ZR1 on Minnesota plates

 

red noble m400 at ciao bella in bloomington at lunchtime... was also a 4door maserati there too...

Saw a GT-R coming out of the Whole Foods parking lot yesterday. I prefer not to think of this as a blurry, crappy photo but an "action shot."

(BTW, do these come in any color OTHER than silver?!?)
