Nick Heidfeld makes his here on PlanetF1.com. What are yours....I say Brawn 1-2 and Red Bull

'Brawn 1-2, Alonso to complete podium'
    Thursday 7th May 2009

Nick Heidfeld has put forward his predictions for this weekend's Spanish GP and clearly doesn't see any chance of BMW finishing on the podium.

Despite entering this year's Championship as one of the favourites to win the title, BMW have failed to live up to expectations with Heidfeld collecting the team's only points at the rain-shortened Malaysian GP.

Apart from that it has been a lean period for BMW, who have fallen further off the pace in recent races rather than close the gap to the front-runners. And Heidfeld isn't expecting a sudden surge up the order from his team this weekend at Barcelona.

"It will be a one-two for Brawn GP, with their diffuser still in use, and (Fernando) Alonso will be third, because he will do especially nice on his home GP," the German told F1network.

If LH finishes I can't see him being outside the top eight.

The only thing I'm sure about is that Brawn will win; most likely Button as he has been the one to get the most out of the car in qualifying, and qualifying is so important in Spain.

It's actually quite unpredictable at the moment. There are a lot of drivers who could do well. We just don't know by how much and the field is already close as it is.

As much as I'd like to see this happen ... not going to happen in my opinion. Maybe if we're lucky one of the Ferraris (Kimi), a Brawn (Jenson), and a Red Bull (Sebastien).

You know it really, really is very close. The Q2 qualifying times from last race the first nine spots were covered by only five tenths of a second. The top five were only two tenths. I think strategy and driver fitness plays a huge role this season. Strategy for the obvious reason (Toyota last race for example- they should have had their first win). Driver fitness because I think a driver that can push hard longer, with car performance being so close, will benefit from that extra 5-10% of performance with things being so close. That may also have been a factor for Trulli in Bahrain.
