Sorry PAP, I missed your last question. I will take some pictures this weekend and post them here. The product is awesome, I think it was easy to work with (with a the heat gun set on low) and reasonable for the protection. Cheack back later this weekend for pictures.
Pap, there really isn't much to see - both the xpel and laminex are optically rated, and except for a small seam line around the edge that can't be seen once you are more than a few inches away it is completely transparent. The colored laminates simply make the fog light glass look like the color of the laminate.

Excellent, thanks mate. Ok, thanks buddy. Was thinking that, but wasnt sure considering how thick that crap is! 40mm! Sweet Daniel. Cant even tell its there! +1!
I just ordered the 40 mil stuff from Xpel as well. I already have two thinner layers on the glass that may need to come off, but I hope to put it on top of that even. We'll see. I went clear. Not cool enough to do yellow like Daniel MB
I have french spec fogs on rosso with the 40mil stuff. I thought the yellow would look odd, but I like now! Image Unavailable, Please Login
It sure looks nice.........in a frenchy sort of way, but still I think it would look ridiculous on a yellow........never seen one though. Might change opinion if I see it in real life. //B//
OMG you guys don't you ever read our threads on this subject?! Bottom line, get the poly carbonite coverings for your lenses. Cheap and an easy installation. I even have a template for you to follow if you cut them from sheets. Of all the things Ferrari decided to make proprietary and specific to the 348, these things! Lunacy I tell ya.
Hi Rodney I'm interested in protecting the glass like you guys. Couldn't follow your Ebay link, but was it the same as these..??? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=130301465439
This is something new. I am very interested in these. I emailed the seller asking if he had just this one pair or does he have more. I'm thinking he is making them and will have more on hand. Once I hear back from him I'll ask him to offer a price to this group. Maybe we can get together and order a batch and have them shipped here in one box. Rodney 1990 348 TS
I think a lot of owners have used the xpel film... www.xpel.com. I did, and just bought it in bulk. It seems plenty strong/thick. But I like these Ebay ones since they are form fit, although not sure if they are as strong or thick. Perhaps you could also ask the seller if existing 348 users mentioned could comment.
I saw these on a car last weekend, they looked great, took a very close look to see they were there, seemed a nice close fit with just a few mm space all round. They were made by same bloke who made my old replacement covers. These covers are very strong. They are made of same stuff he used for mine, i tested an off cut by firing a 22 air rifle pellet at it from close quarters, it just left a small mark. I used them for 6 months and they remained unmarked, so would highly recommend.
I saw these ones yesterday also. They look really good and was what I was thinking of when I was going to get some made. But as usual, HUGE setup costs to make them.
Hi mera, A friend of mine who works in engineering made quite a few set of these for use on track days after he broke a couple of his own glass lights. I'm sure he can supply some more if there is any interest. I only listed my spare set as i don't need them anymore. I can always put further sets up as a buy-it-now if i know how much they are worth. regards, Shelsley1. didnt want to appear too pushy! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=330328463994 and other stuff under other things for sale.
The title says right side, but the picture looks like a left side unit? Maybe I'm wrong, but I would not want you to have a dispute with a buyer after the fact. Good luck with the sale and replacement fund!!! BT
