I had a Rental/mental Dodge Neon while I had my Benz in for service, It was such a POS, I am amazed that someone would actually purchase a car like that. :(

Rover 75. It felt as though the car was driving me instead of the other way round. I've never felt less attached to the behaviour of any car, ever.

The Neon was so bad that I pulled out of the dealership then turned it back in. The then gave me a 2009 MB 300C class, it felt like a German Honda Accord. :D

3 way tie: chevy hhr (completely numb on feedback), pt cruiser (slug), and the smart-car (absolutely dangerous vehicle - would've felt safer on a bicycle).

A friend of mine was actually the head designer for the Neon & Viper, he is now retired. The version I drove was a SXT version, it had a little power, but it handled like a pig. I always thought the racing stripe gave it 25 more HP :D :D

We had an old International p/u truck in the 70's. What a vehicle! Ugly design, terrible driving, etc...it was so odd that it was actually fun in a funny sort of way...you laughed your butt off everytime you drove it.

Renault clio 1.0 diesel (1992???) automatic. Had to drive it for a friend of mine back to our hometown, some 30 miles away. on the open roads i put my foot to the floor and it took no less than 3 minutes to reach 80mph. when it hit 95 i had to brake for slower cars ahead and found out the brakes didnt work. Scared myself to death that day!

24' Penske moving truck. but that's not really a "car", so I'll say a rented Dodge Neon with bald tires, no alignment, and an odor that reminded me of sex and bong residue. (avoid renting from Enterprise)

Dodge Avenger - horrible... cruise control makes the front end pitch up and down at any given highway speed.

Dodge Caliber - don't get me started... it is put together like knock off lego blocks that just don't fit together.

Chevette for #1. Nothing worse than that car except...rental Pontiac LeMans a friend had for a few days. Awful car in every single aspect.

    Yes and yes.

My old 68 Beetle felt like driving around in an empty tuna can.

The rental Caliber, other than the CVT transmission, was completely lacking any fun.

The Chrysler PT Cruiser is by far the worst car I have ever driven. It was slow, handled horribly and is ugly.

Toss up between Neon and Dodge Caliber (both rentals). PT Cwuiser is up there though. Caliber is the worst "new" car I've ever driven - we were the first renters of that particular one, it had 8 miles when I started driving.
