I think you completely lost my thoughts somewhere... Regarding the issue "going faster means fiding more problems to deal with"... It's just that period!
You don't have to think much to understand what I meant... do you?

We are talking of racing cars here... with racing engines and a lot of aerodynamic stuff and so on... Do I need to say more?

As for the ratio Mclaren Vs. Ferrari will see who will be better... I think you got a pretty good image viewing the last GP...

That even Massa has now acquired a more realistic approach, which I actually like. I can't stand the self dilusional cheerleader mode. I'm not criticizing him at all, just pointing out the statement he made for all those on here who still believe that with a little bit of luck Ferrari could win the title this year.

Actually it is. The guy even starved himself to compensate the weight of KERS. That's what I like about Kimi so much: He portrays this "laissez-faire" attitude, which is very cool in a James Hunt/Eddie Irvine kind of way. However on the inside he is just as determined as anybody else. He just doesn't look as robotic as Schumacher or Hamilton.

True dat. In fact dropping the ball now and focus on 2010 might be even a bad idea given how much things are currently in flux: KERS might be replaced by a standard KERS for everybody (at which point Ferrari's experience/expertise goes out the window). At any rate I wouldn't make a decision one way or another before the next meeting with Mad Max before the Monaco GP (at which point the decision to participate in 2010 has to be made).

No, going faster=more problems is perfectly acceptable. I just had an issue with the next part of your post.

This just comes across as if you're implying that the other teams for some reason aren't trying to improve the performance of their cars, which is plain not true. Somehow I don't think McLaren and BMW, for example, are in it just to finish and that they don't care about the championship (I'm presuming you mean the constructors one).

I'm afraid Ferrari is TOAST. They'll be eliminated in short order.

Understood... I think BMW is trying to catch the boat but McLaren doesn't seems so... At least to my eyes. Let's wait and see.
