The Dino is finished enough to bring, still missing some items but nothing major. It might be time to bring it out!!
The event is open to FCA members and you do need to register by this weekend (deadline is the 11th?). It's not an open to the public concours. If you're not in the FCA, then generally Pietro doesn't invite you. You should have gotten a letter a month or more ago, RED of course, outlining the details of the event. Dave M
Dave, Are you sure, the red flyer sent by Peitro stated in bold that they had to RECEIVE the response by May 9th. Maybe its different for FCA members?
I got an email from him yesterday states "Received by May 11" Dunno why the variation, but... that's what I have. Dave
Seems logical to me. Bob or Jon must know a good - twisty, officer-free - route to Reading. Aiming to be there around 11am, so rendezvous around 9am-ish?
PERFECT. BTW, Alex-if you need a lift it looks like I am going to have extra room in the Mondial. Let me know. I MAY even have an extra ticket if you need it. Only caveat--if the weather sucks the Ferrari stays home and we jump in the Big Fat Mercedes Ant Eater.
Yes, to both...I wasn't going to go since I don't have a ticket or a ride. But now that you mention it! I just have to be back by 6ish though.
Hey, I wanted to go but did know you had to sign up ... is it too late? I dont want to enter my car just attend with my car...
Sorry guys, as much as I would love to make a backroads run up there this year I won't be going. Too expensive this year. We were just forced to take another week of unpaid furlough and $150 for the tickets is just too much for me. Should be a great show. Would dearly love to see the 250 GTO that should be there. Rained like hell last year. I'm really gonna miss it. Somebody else has to shoot pictures and video. Bob
Doug and Gang...sorry to say that I too will not be going. I am driving this weekend at Pocono international in the 1965 Porsche 911. sooooo someone needs to stepup and design a nice twisty road for all of you to travel on to Reading. See you all soon. May is a busy month for me. Jon
I went the last 4 years, and after last years rain and with the cost of tickets I am taking a year off. You can call me cheap, but just going to shows is taking a big chunk out of the Ferrari Fund! Erik PS Good luck Dave!!
Me and the wife have our tickets. We will be bringing the Blue 355 spider as well. Hopefully the weather will hold up. Currently they are saying scattered thunderstorms but when has a weather forecast been accurate? See everyone there. Shawn
I can confirm that, for old racing iron, a 250 GTO, a 500 TRC and our 500 Mondial will be attending the show.
I will be there!! Oh, did I mention I'm going to be one of the judges this year? Dave M. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm an FCA member from Georgia who is going to be in the Lancaster area this weekend. I asked Pietro to send me info but it hasn't arrived and I've stopped mail delivery for the trip, so I won't receive it in time. So how much is admission for FCA members who are not bringing a car? What are the times? And what is the exact location?
In addition to its sterling GP history, the Phillip's Mondial is one of a tiny number of Ferraris ever to receive a PERFECT score from the Pebble Beach Lawn Judges, and the GTO is the real deal not a fakeydo This is serious iron
The GTO is the FIRST GTO produced and is a spectacular car, singularly beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing it again, along with the other great cars. Pietro puts together a very good time. DM
Betty and I will be there without the Dino this year to honor Pietro with something special from the FCA-MAR for the 25th Anniversary of his event. What a fantastic series of shows in which Pietro always manages to surprise us with something unique and interesting. Looking forward to the really neat old iron this year. Pray for good weather! Bill
Chris LaPorte will be there with his 1957 Super America 410 s/n 0715. Here is a photo I found on conceptcarz.com from the 08 Cavallino. Stop by and talk to Chris, he has a lot of great stories about the cars' history and loves talking shop with people. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I didn't think Chris was local? Oh man I should have gotten tickets!! Take a lot of pics 0715 is stunning and I saw it at Cavallino. Erik
