I am thinking about improving power and sound on my 348TS. I heard the sound on youtube but how much you really gain in power installing Hyper Flow cats and Tubi ?
I know some of you guys out there have a good idea because you have already done it. Were you completely satisfied or some what hoping for better and a little disappointed ?
    Thanks,
    Roberto

I have Hyperflow cats and X-Ost.

Love it! Better sound and seat of the pants says more hp.

Rode in a 348 with Tubi and didn't quite like the drone at highway speeds.

I had Hyperflows and Tubi and it was the best thing I ever did to any of my Ferrari, reduced weight, added around 20 horses, and the sound was like an F1, incredible. For some reason, the Tubi has the best sound on the 348, more than any other Ferrari. I highly recommended it.

I have heard Daniel's 348 with Hyperflows and X-ost and it is spectacular. Highly recommended.

    Scales,

dont know if I could agree that Tubi gives the best sound. I have heard a few times that it has an awful resonance at about 60MPH.
I think capristo has the best sound

I have Ansa exhaust on mine (1993 Speciale Series), before I bought my car I had never heard of it. It definitely has a desirable and pleasing sound to the ears, and the dealer said it adds about 10-15 horsepower over stock. They told me it came right from Ferrari that away, that it was an option, but I am not 100% certain that is true.

FWIW, I have hyperflows and Tubi and am quite pleased with the sound. I have never noticed any objectionable resonances at any particular speed/RPM.

I've owned both, believe me, 348 is best with the Tubi, Capristo is best for the 355, not the other way around.

I have owned 3 different exhausts on my 348, a Tubi which I did not like at all, a Quicksilver that had a nice sound but not loud enough and now a Capristo which I am completely satisfied with. A great sound and loud! :) So much so that the Hyperflow's I had on order were cancelled.

I have a Tubi with Hyperflows. I think it's the best sounding legal setup. I don't find any annoying sound at 60mph.

As far as HP - who knows, I can't tell the difference.

It should help by dropping a lot of weight and freeing up the exhaust. Maybe get you in the range of 15 HP, or up to about 315 gross. Tubi has an annoying wail in the higher rpm range if you are behind one, so you can imagine why people following you will be passing will more regularity. I would not pay the retail price of a Tubi, so if you get a used pne for a good price, this might be a decent option, but...

    I'd get a gothmuff - hey I did! :D

Cool thing about tubis for those who like resale value is that the tubi itself holds its value. Also when they are on ferraris they are very accepted and used as another selling point and buyers like them. No other exhaust has those benefits. Yet....

Same here, the sound is spot on.

Have another 348 with hyperflows and an X-ost which doesnt sound anywhere near as good.

Also the finish and fit of the Tubi is so much better than the X-ost.Tubi all the way IMO.

Although if you can go with de-cat route (if its legal), it sounds even better. :)

The finish on the Tubi is spot on, so is the Capristo, they seem to be in a league of their own. Cant say that for the Quicksilver or the X-ost's I have seen, you get what you pay for.
