No I really don't know but I bet they could. Plugzit has been very successful in running the 355 ITB's. I'm thinking someone like VinceV running the gothmuff could up the arms race and graft on the 360 intake. Stooges have lots of fun slapping each other around.
How about these Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 360 is drive by wire IIRC you would need to adapt to that which means you would need all of the electronics etc.
Cool motor whats up with the belt system? As to drive by wire I think you would just need to delete the actuator and the shaft is still there for the throttle. I am sure a creative person could adapt. For less than $1400 bucks it would be a deal and possible horsepower.
I thought the throttle was electric motors ie; no linkage of any type. Anyway that would be cool on my challenge car the 355 manifold/plenum is butt ugly compared to the 360. Maybe you take weekend off and come over and install that on my car
Take a guess what car this came from. HINT: someone died. I'll pass in favor of a 360 inspired system.
I'm all in. If you go for it I m sure the stooges will be all over it for an install party. Where are you Vegas? We could road trip if you got tools. Plugzit likes cheap women and expensive beer!
Brahahaha.. You are to easy. Vegas? naw western Colorado. Hmmm cheap women and hi priced beer, I thought It was the other way around. Seriously, I haven't looked at a 360 engine in quite awhile I wonder if the plenum ports would line up on the heads of the 355 and if you could adapt the 355 2.7 air flow meters and just use the ECUs from the 2.7. Another problem might be if the 360 plenum would fit under the hood of the 355 it looks taller. Just thinkin'
Some tequila-clouded thoughts... Make adapters for the ports, Definitely use 360 air flow meters as they are larger, Commit Ferrari heresy and put a hole, bulge, or scoop in the bonnet!
They are Not of my car! wish they were, I was going though some invoices for my car and there was one in there from Simpson Motorsport so had a look at there web site http://www.simpsonmotorsport.com/default.asp?id=1&pid=1&name=Home The photos where in there Gallery here http://www.simpsonmotorsport.com/static/gallery.asp?id=130&pid=130&name=Gallery&offset=84 I would say they do away with the spring loaded tensoner and fit a brace ???
We could only imagine how much HP that motor is making! and Yes bruce hole in bonnet and roof scope!!!!
Scoops are for Sissies, Snorkles mean business..... There was a Frisbee snorkle on racecars.com a month or two back, tall enough that laminer flow is no issue what so ever. I have been prodding Bruce to do that for years now on his 355. The brace between the belt rollers gives a clue to what cams that engine is running. I had to do the same with the IMSA as the belts needed to be set to high C tension to turn the cams and not jump a tooth. Slide valve intake has me thinking Dyson Spice car spare engine.
