Hi, I just noticed a leak underneath the car. It's got a slight blue tinge and it's kinda viscous/oily. I doesn't look like windshield washer fluid. Anyone have any ideas what system it could belong to? Coolant or transmission (manual)? Thanks.

Some brake/clutch hydraulic fluid is blue.

    Start there.

Under the front or rear of the car?

It's in the rear, about the middle of the car. Looks close to the transmission so it may be the clutch/brake fluid. I just checked the brake reservoir and it's a bit down from the top so it may be that. Thanks.

Some gear box oil is blue such as lightweight shockproof rediline oil. Might be a leaky?

See if the fluid mixes with water. If it doesn't then it's oil (e.g. gearbox oil). If it mixes readily with water then it is either brake/clutch fluid or coolant.

Start with coolant - way more likely than clutch / hydraulic and generally a bluish, oily (glycol) feeling liquid. Check level in header tank and check that your 'patch' didn't coincide with the position of the header tank overflow.
