Dan I like your approach I cant imagine being blown away by another car while shouting "that cant be the dyno numbers say I am faster" its about what the car does on the road and a lot of that is how its driven.
We do over 24 various events a year, for the people that don't like dyno events, then don't come. A dyno is a blast IMHO every few years. First of all, awesome to hear the cars at full song INSIDE closed walls. Second of all a dyno pull can often point out problems that are harder to identify on the street, you can also run an Air Fuel probe. Lastly it really isn't a competition, but fun to see on the same day under the same conditions how various models compare. For first timers they learn real quick that Ferrari was full of **** on claimed power. Competition is for the track, where I will outlap 360's in a FUGLY 25 year old 110 HP RX7.
Dyno days are fun, no doubt of this. We are contacting a few possible hosts for such an event and I am sure we can secure a location for a car show/event. We are thinking that a October or November date will work best. Will keep the locals posted as we progress with plans.
Stating the obvious, I know. I have taken my car to Norwood for 3 years now, based on the recommendations on this forum, and have to say that James and crew have lived up to their reputation. I can't imagine going anywhere else! Thanks again James! Pic just for fun. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Point of information. The Italian Car Fest is returning this fall. Check out iccsw.com for date and location as well as a special website dedicated to the show itself.
You left it hardwired into my ignition. I still think you should open up an assisted living facility at the shop for us old geezers where we actually pay you to sit around in the shop all day and drool over the cars.
you are going to trust James with setting your tolerances when he can't even break 95 of 100 Sporting Clays! that is like 5% off!!!
For anyone interested...(I took these pics with my phone...so not the greatest, but) here is one more a little closer to the Espada (rear of car). Image Unavailable, Please Login
For you Espada fans, you missed the opportunity a few weeks ago, when there were two black Espadas sitting side-by-side. The one still there, in the pic, and another, of a different year. It's cheating, but a damned-good spotting location. Always something of interest.
True. 38 year old car, and I've never seen one on the road. Back in the 70's and early 80's, I'd spot the occasional pre-1975 Ferrari on the roads here in Dallas (always rolled down my window for a listen) but hardly ever a Lambo, maybe one in five years.
Mike, James, and the rest are all fantastic guys, really know what they are doing and super helpful! Thank you for everything you guys do! Steve
