    Hey Guys,

While disassembling my old shocks to install the new ones, I noticed that the new ones while looking the same have two different part numbers….

My question is: Is one particular set of Koni shocks (numbers) for the rear and the other for the front?

    They look identical…

Part number: 82 1983SP6------Front, or Rear?
    (110787)

Part number: 82 1982SP6------Front, or Rear?
    (110786)

    Thanks Guys for the help!

    Chris.

I have three different sets of instructions on how to “adjust” my Koni ShockKS FOR MY 79308GTB....

Has anyone ever adjusted their own Koni Shocks model number #82 1982SP6 (83), right out of the box before???

I’m sure it’s easy enough, the instructions don’t make any sense to me.

In one set of instructions, it mentions that a rubber stop (inside the upper shock housing), need to be removed prior to adjustment. In order to remove the rubber stop, you’d literally have to mutilate it in order to get it out….

Even the internet instructions, didn’t seem to make sense…

This has got to be an easy job….What’s the procedure, blow-by-blow???

    Please…

    Thank Guys,

    Chris

    Hey Guys,

For anyone attempting to adjust their Koni shocks:

It was only after contacting Koni USA “Tech Services” that I found that the shocks are factory set for our 308’s for normal driving conditions.

If in fact you wanted to firm them, or soften the ride, you MUST remove that huge rubber stop inside the upper shock housing. At first it didn’t look as if it’d come out, but there’s a hairline split in it that will open-up to clear the rod.

That’s it, thought it’d be easy enough. I was just looking for some detail.

Thank for all of your input Guys!

    Regards,

    Chris.
