I don't have it - I'm holding out for the non-stickered up Elite version
    Hot Wheels makes it
$25-$30 usd (not sure why it says $750 on that website... but if you find some people willing to pay that, send them my way, I'll sell 'em for $350 ;) )

I saw it on display at the Mattel Toy Store in Ft Worth in the front case. From what management told me they are not aloud to sell them until a release date is given. (whenever that is) It's been there for that past month & I wasn't sure what Ferrari type it was when I first saw it but it is part of the Elite series complete with the 60th anniversary decals.

The regular ones are all over ebay and most die cast selling sites, but not the ELITE. The reason why I still haven't bought one is that the Elite is supposed to come with photoetched spokes on the wheels compared to the plastic crappy wheels that one now available comes with. I think this would be the single most important thing in the differenses between the two

Don't get excited yet. It is supposed to come out in darker red and a seccond color which is believed to be matt chrome red, like the one on the Elite 333SP, which is a 60th anniversary edition but it does not have the stickers on it. JUst a replica of the 60th anniversary baton on the the display base.

ive seen quite a few of that model on ebay for (Buy it now)US24.99$, given that and that it is hotwheels, it would be worthy to hold out for the elite version ..

The wheels are really good (not CMC or BBR good) - dare I say - the best wire wheels I've ever seen from HW...

ITS NOT A BAD MODEL AS FAR AS HW GOES,
WITH REGARDS TO THE ONE DOOR OPENING,I WAS READING IN ONE OF THE FERRISSIMA BOOKS
THE DOOR WAS SEALED FOR RACING, AND NOTHING ELSE,ALSO STEERING WHEEL IS ON THE CORRECT SIDE,
ALTHOUGH I THINK LATER FERRARI CARS WERE MADE ON THE LEFT HAND DRIVE,LIKE MOST MODERN ROAD CARS
APART FROM IRELAND,UK AND SOME OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES WHO STILL USE RIGHT HAND DRIVE CARS.

    Sorry for the question,
but why those early ferraris were right handed ?

I believe the story goes like this.... Early cars had their gearlevers mounted on the outside of the car for the right hand. So, the wheel itself was mounted on the right side of the car. When competition started, the inside of a track was on the driver's right, allowing the driver to get as close to the corner as possible. This would make it the circuit a clockwise one, for example Road America, Road Atlanta. I believe it is for this reason that the early Ferraris, being competition or competition based cars would still have the steering wheel on the right.
