Hi California fans, Last Friday, I spent about three hours outside the factory gates to take pics of the Ferraris driving in and out on their test drives. The absolute majority of the cars I saw were Californias, with just a single yellow 16M and a single red 599 GTB amongst them. On Saturday I got a factory tour and here I spotted also lots of 430s and 599 GTBs. The majority of 430s being produced seemed to be Scuderia and 16M models. The assembly line for the 599/612 was only about 60-70% full though, with just two 612s seen during the entire tour. So the waiting list for a 12-cylinder Ferrari might have become quite a bit shorter, I suppose. The situation with the California assembly lines was totally different: lots and lots of Californias under construction, not a single empty place on the line! Interesting to see how many of those were white btw. Now for the pics, I hope they are of interest to you and may help you with choosing your specs when ordering a California Ciao, Lars T. Hy Lars! Great pics! Do you have more of them, maybe one of the light green color called "celeste metallic"? I love pics from maranello and i also spent many times by the factory entry in the via musso. I'll be there in the last week of june for two days, and for a factory visit on 10. of October! www.andyfcarmodelcollection.wg.am
Servus Andy, Yes, there will be many more pics coming up, no worries. I´m currently resizing them I didn´t see any Californias in Celeste (but I think that´s a light blue colour, not a light green one, right? There was a Dutch 599 GTB driving in Maranello in Blu Celeste btw. Ciao, Lars T. PS: have fun on your factory visit! I would love to see your "test drive pics" as well!

To be honest, I liked the white ones a lot. Inside the factory (so no pics), I saw a special one in white/cream with a cuoio dash, which was very nice. Amongst the finished cars there was one in Blu Mirabeau/tan, also unusual and nice. And there were some black/red examples around, not bad either. Very good looking was also an example in Argento Nürburgring/red. Interestingly, I saw just a few cars in Azzurro California, much less than expected. Btw, most unusual were a yellow/dark brown one, but even more so a cream(avorio)/dark brown one, both still on the assembly lines. Most Californias present were red, which I don´t like too much on that car personally. Then black and Grigio Silverstone, then white, then the other remaining colours. Pics of several white ones will follow, so you can see how that looks too. Ciao, Lars T.

Hy Lars! LG Andy
Oh look ANOTHER red/tan California... Never mind. The California is really growing on me. It just needs a lowering
on this car I would go with something other than red/tan its nice but something else would be better. Cool pics thanks!
