Here we go...
I asked that on Thursday - apparently under the "rules of the day" it counts towards their allocation of 8 - now what happens when those 8 are used will be the new rule when that happens ! ! !
What is funny is Martin was saying that this isn't Buttons best circuit Kimi still has KERS on the start grid tho. Will be an interesting 1st corner What happened to Webber?
this start is going to be interesting. Massa 5th, might get up to 3rd and with a bit of luck 2nd. Kimi will most probably end up 1st after the start. then hope both Fcars can keep it up the track. Lets hope their strategy works out...(i'm going to regret saying that)
what I find most interesting will be Ross' strategy at the start vs the strategy of his old team at the start - Kimi might have a KERS advantage, but it's not entirely reliable for Ferrari - at least Ste Devote has a run off area 45 minutes to start ! ! ! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=244186
Wow...I question the decision to back off on Kimi's final lap. Is there enough running room to get the KERS advantage to turn 1? IIRC, it comes pretty quickly at Monaco. Obviously, Kimi feels pretty good driving this circuit, so if he has a fuel advantage as well as a KERS advantage then he's poised to win (barring any pit screw ups). Button's pole time was basically his Q2 time. Kimi was .5 secs slower.
I agree about the KERS. Its highly unreliable but to be honest, if it works at the start thats half the work done. If you can make your car wide at monaco its impossible to pass... Cheers for the link to the 24h race!
