Hi everybody. Joachim is my name, and i currently live in Norway. Have been enthusiastic about italian sportscars (mainly ferrari) for the most of my 22years Been lurking around here for ages, reading pretty much everyday, but havent been posting mostly due to the fact that i currently dont own a Ferrari. But i have recieved a bunch load of knowledge regarding the ferrari brand through reading this forum, and im deeply thankfull for all of you guys giving an insiders view on a Ferrari ownership. Have always wanted a Ferrari in my garage, but the more i get older the more i realise that the dream probably is better left inside my head. Like when one night i dreamed that i drove around in an Ferrari F40, and the dream was very very real, all the buttons, carbon body with green glue residue, cord to open door etc etc was there like if it where real ! I can safely say that the 5 seconds after i woke up when i thought the dream where real, are one of my best ferrari experiences, but the seconds following afterwards when i realize the Ferrari was bogus where grusome to say the least Sorry for my bad english btw. Also to confirm that i am a lurker, check out my post count and join date - Joachim

Welcome to Ferrarichat Cristiano! How about filling in a little more in your Ferrarichat Profile? If you don't own a Ferrari, how about listing in your Profile what Ferraris you'd like to own? Take Care
32 years old and I own an F430 Novitec Rosso and a 599 GTB. I prefer my Lamborghini but the Ferrari's will do on rainy days or when theres some snow on the ground. As a top executive an expensive car is the only way to go.
Hello: My name is Frank, I live here in wonderful Upstate NY, Town of Victor. Not many Ferraris up here but have been a life long fan. Soon hope to be an owner and would love to meet some owners in my area. I am 45 years old and have a young family (raising two children). This is a great site!
Dear All, This is my first post here, as all of the members here, I am a huge Ferrari fan, I am 24 years old live in Brasília, Brazil. I work with vehicle importation, mostly chinese vehicles for commercial purposes, and also couple Ferraris and Porsches for some clients. I currently drive a Fiat Punto Abarth T-jet I try to keep italian as you can see on my previous vehicles: Alfa Romeo 145 quadriofoglio Alfa Romeo 147 Fiat Marea 2.4 Fiat Brava Fiat Stilo Schumacher
I would like to start of by saying... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a great website. Just joined. Dwight from Palm Beach Florida. I've been a Ferrari lover all my life and I just purchased an 89 Testarossa. Now you might wonder (stress release???). Two hours a week. No Radio - No kids - No girlfriend - No stress. Just the distinctive sound of greatness and sore Jaw muscles from smiling. Stress Relief. AHHHHHHH!!!!!....... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey guys, my names dean I live in hervey bay Queensland in Australia. I'm 18 years old and don't own a Ferrari but I have a huge appreciation for them and their owners. This is a great forum and it's great to pick the minds of people who drive Ferrari on a regular basis. Where I live is a small city only about 60,000 people, plenty of millionaires but only one Ferrari here thanks so much for a warm welcoming guys look forward to share my 2 cents and always ready to listen and learn from the real drivers of these spectacular vehicles, thanks.
Hi all, my name is Simon from stoke-on-trent, the story behind me joining the forum is i have always wanted a ferrari. Recently i was looking in to switching my car for a scirocco, test drove one and loved it. The salesman then mentioned the R version which i decided i wanted more then the standard version so went away sure i would be a VW owner this time next year. However when i saw a group of ferraris parked at mutley corner near brownhills i decided i had to have one, a quick search on autotrader and the like showed it would only cost me £10000 more to buy- i thought wait a few more years, save a few more pennies then the dream may come a reality and as my car is only a year old there are no issues with it. So theres the long winded story and here is a pic of my current car: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi all, New to the forum but a Ferrari fan all my life. Incredible forum here - well done to all the posters...............I'm hopefully an owner soon! Question and further introduction in the main forum Ta.
Hi my name is Roger and I live just west of Toronto. I have been reading the posts here for a while. While I have lusted after Ferrari's and everything exotic for decades, I have never owned one..... one day. For the past couple of years I have enjoyed the next best thing (read the closest I can afford at this time). I have a kit/replica. It is a "Velo Rossa Spyder" It is what a 250 GTO would have looked like had they made a spyder version. It is based upon a Datsun/Nissan 280Z chassis that is powered by a 327 small block. It is fun, handles amazing, as it has a great power to weight ratio. Best of all, no actual ferrari's were harmed in the building of this car. I get great reactions from all that see it. Even encountering true Ferrari and other exotic cars on the road I always get thumbs up from the owners/drivers even though mine is probably only worth the average insurance premium on their cars. This is not one of those easily recognizable Fiero kits, but I have never, tried to present it as what it appears. Until the right time comes, this is my four wheeled therapist as nothing clears the mind better than open air driving.
Hello, My name is Kyle and I live in SW Indiana. I graduated from a great school (all male in Indiana, you figure it out). No I do not own an F-car, it is a goal of mine, though. In this area if you see an exotic, it is not only rare, it is a take note of who is driving and network, network, network! I work as a Service Advisor for Kenny Kent Lexus. This affords me a decent amount of income but is not what I want to do for a career. My first experience with Ferraris was at the World Class Driving Festival @ West Baden Resorts last year. Went from lust to absolute love bordering on obsession! Got a chance to drive the F430 Spyder, F430 Scuderia, and 599GTB. There were other cars there but nothing really compared, the Lambo Supperleggera was a distant runner up. Recently purchased the 2010 Genesis Coupe, and it is a marvelous car; especially considering the low price. Also have a 1994 Infiniti Q45 that rivals any vehicle Lexus makes today in touring comfort, performance and handling.
My name is Duane K Estill and I live in Northeast Mississippi. I have driven Fiats for the past ten years and in the last two years have began researching Ferraris. It seems that the Fiat X1/9 is a great "training" car prior to a Ferrari and I have owned 3, currently own one, as well as a Fiat Spider. I love these cars and have adapted to their eccentricities and delicacy to the extent that it's just another day. So now I view Ferrari ownership as a sort of 'graduation' on the Italian car spectrum and am naturally researching my first Ferrari purchase.
Hi all, Guess I'll jump in here. My name is John and I live in Eastern Canada. I was glad to find this board and have already learned a great deal about F-cars, which is great research for the future. I have been a Porsche and Ferrari fan all my life, although F-car ownership is still a future project for me. I currently drive a 2009 Cayman S and have previously owned a Boxster and a '68 911L. I believe Porsche does the everyday sports/super car thing better than anyone else and I will always have one in the garage. That's the head talking, but I'm also emotionally fascinated by Italian machinery. So far, I've fulfilled this passion with Ducati motorcycles, of which I currently have a Monster S4RS, a Hypermotard and a '98 916. I'm very involved with the Ducati side of things, being President of our local club, which you can check out at www.eastcoastducaticlub.com My ultimate goal is to find a good 360 or possibly 430 sometime in the next few years, to complete the stable. Until then, thanks to all the owners and enthusiasts who post good information on this forum.
Hey everyone, Name's Peiyi. I go to college in University of Illinois. Kinda got more interested in cars about a year or so ago? I drive a mitsubishi now (too poor to get anything fancy) although my short term attainable (somewhat) car would be a porsche. Haven't got a chance to ride in a supercar yet although I really hope this would change one day! =D
I'm Jay and I'm actively researching the, relatively soon, purchase of an F or L car. I consider myself a driver, rather than a collector, and as such seek a car which encompasses a number of feelings while I'm at helm.
I am the Parts Manager for FerrarI of Central New Jersey, i just tune in here to keep up with what is happening in the Ferrari world. most of you know more than i do, so i just keep my mouth shut and learn.
Hello everyone! My name is Max and I am a junior at URI as a finance major and a minor in Auto Enthusiast . I just recently started an official club here at the school and we are looking forward to hosting some great events, cruises, bbq's and shows not only for students but any car enthusiast! I already love the community here on FChat and look forward to hopefully meeting some of you in person.
Bruce here, from Signal Mountain, TN. I'm an Internal Auditor by trade, and currently have two Porsches, a 928S4 and 911, both 1987's. I'm looking for a Mondial 3.2 for my entry into the world of Ferrari. Happily married for 27 years, my wife understands the addiction. At least it's not antique tractors!
I've been 'lurking' for a while so thought I'd better introduce myself. My name is Scott and I'm from the UK but moved to China for work about 6 years ago. I have a 360 Modena F1, which I only bought a few weeks ago. The car is in the uk, and I will only get to drive it a few times a year, but that's kinda the whole point of me buying an Fcar.
Well, I thought I might as well join the party and introduce myself. My name is Edward and I've caught the sports car fever. I'm in college - Cal State Northridge - (and a fraternity, let the trolling begin) and one of my brothers bought a Maserati. Needless to say, I've caught the need for speed from him and thought I'd come onto here and poke around. I admit that I don't make my way onto here much- I spend most of my time over on the Corvette Forum. I currently drive a '93 Corvette but someday I'll work my way up to a proper Ferrari. I'm looking forward to doing more "lurking" and joining in on the fun!
Welcome new F-Chatters! A lot of nice folks on the forum that share the same passion as you. This may seem a little strange, but FerrariChat is like my second family; many nice members who are very easy to talk to about your passion for Ferrari. I've made some wonderful friendships because of this forum and I'm sure many other members feel the same way as me. Welcome once again and start postin'! -G.B.
I am considering purchasing a Ferrari within the next few months but know very little about the different models and how they differ from one another. I have also found that websites like Edmunds and Ferrari.com are not very descriptive and have precious little information about model specific differences. I am aware that the F430 is being replaced by the 458 Italia and that the California is a now available, but am having difficulty choosing the model that would best suit my needs. Would anyone be willing to chat with me and give more in-depth knowledge about the brand so I can make an educated purchase? Thank you, Frenchie.
Sure! Welcome aboard! Californias are FRONT engined for one thing....and while very pretty that's a complicated top system.. Waiting lines on the 458 will be long the upside being softening of 430 and 360 pricing. V12??? Hard to beat the value of a clean 550 right now, 575...Superamerica (nah.. glass top costs $24K to replace...) Your turn....
