The history of the Ferrari 225S #0180ET. The article that I wrote is in my blog: www.ferrariemportugal.blogspot.com it is written in portugues but.....i hope you like. Manuel Taboada
This pic shows 0192ET : http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_GABdD-R7WZo/ShWkEL6ARDI/AAAAAAAAClk/YbqWWzNnQw4/s1600-h/Foto6.jpg
The current owner of the car (Alberto Pamos, of Brazil) and another brasilian specialist, told me that it probably was it 225S 0180ET, such as I wrote in the text referring to this photo. However 0192ET have a Argentinian life, not in Brasil. This photo was taken in a race in Brazil.
I have this photo taken at the Premio Invierno Buenos Aires 4 July 1954 with Acosta. This photo shows the same car at this event in second position. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great picture Boudewijn! José María Ibáñez raced s/n 0192ET in Brazil on 10th. January 1954, six months before the picture. Kind regards. Cris.-
Then definitely it is not it 225S *0180ET. It had certainties regarding the Portuguese history of this car, but not regarding his history from 1954, in Brazil. Thanks by your informations. Kind regards Manuel Taboada
great stuff. If you canget someone to translate from the Portugese please post it. just one man's opinion tongascrew

For those of you interested, 0180ET was restored by Classiche and is back in Brazil, painted a beautiful shade of yellow. It just won Best of Show at the Campos de Jordão classic car meet this past weekend. There are some pics of the car here: Campos de Lindóia | Classic Press center I don't know if this is true or not, but the story told in the article above is that the car was presumed lost and that apparently the person Ferrari sent to inspect the chassis cried when he saw it was actually 0180ET... I don't buy it, but it's nice to hear a romantic story once in a while. I'll try and find more pictures, but I would love to hear more about this car, other than Manuel's already incredible website. Perhaps Mr. Massini has some extra information on the car. I'm particularly interested in knowing if it was reunited with its original engine, or if it carries a Classiche made block.
Some extra pictures. Car is owned by collector Antonio Ricardo Beira and resides in Campinas, in São Paulo state. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There area series of internet postings on the subject. Most of these include an English translation. I am sure these can be found thru Google. They include detailed accounts, race results and pictures of Ferrari cars and drivers in many events in Portugal in the 1950s & early 1906s. Much of this I have only found in these sites. Enjoy. tongascrew
A resto was done in Brazilin in 2001 by Alberto Ramos who bought the car when Marx died in 2001. The car came with no engine. In 2005 the car ran in the M.M. #170 and painted red with engine?? It's nice to see it back with a good Ferrari yellow, its original color. Good question what engine is in today. It lost its original engine around 1953 which was replaced with #0466 Lots of provenance in Ferrari in Portugal
It was restored at Classiche, so maybe a classiche made block. I would like to know more about that, too.

It's a good place for this picture I took ten years ago... Gil Nickel's stable at Far Niente, October 2004. john Image Unavailable, Please Login
^Same car? Few different things I notice right off the bat; lights, grille frame, hood with chrome spine instead of louvers, rearview mirror, possibly wheels...
