A red dash would never have been standard, though you could get red leather on the seats and doors/console as part of the normal configuration.

That said, I've seen a red dash on a TR, special ordered. If you had enough money, you could get anything. The car is for sale now at The Sports Car Company here in San Diego -- not something for the faint of heart.

A good upholstery shop can do whatever you want to the dash. Ferrari used vinyl as standard, which tends to hold up better under sun exposure. They went with leather for the Boxer, 355, TR, 550 etc., all of which have bad shrinkage problems on the dash.

 

I have a red leather dash on my QV Euro.
I have no evidence that it is not stock.

 

I use a black dash cap on the dash as the red leather is a great glare reflector.

 

While a red leather dash was not standard, it was available as a special order. I have a red leather dash in my 328. I have also seen 2 other cars with red leather dashboards, a metallic black 328GTS, and a silver TR.

Here is a picture of my 308 dash. There is a reflection on the dash that makes
the left part appear less red but its really one color.

My 1985 308 has a brown leather dash and tobacco seats with brown piping. It was a special order from the factory as stated on the delivery sheet in the records. I think it looks incredible although it is not "traditional."

 

It will be nice to post also pics! That colour combination is really unusual. Pics please!

I like the red dash on the 308, not so much on the 328. Interesting to see all the various combinations delivered on these hand-built cars. Part of what makes them special.

 

that red leather dash is giving me wood! lol yeah baby! I'm kinda glad most folks on here don't like the red interiors it keeps it unique and rare. Don't change it ever roverguy.

I always thought the previous owner changed the dash after he bought it but now I am having second thoughts. Mine is very similar in color to the one 328 pic.
