OK, not really. The HP was available, I just wasn't able to use it. Last week when I changed the spark plugs I pulled the intake air hose to get better access to rear plugs 2 and 3. In doing so I mumbled to myself, "check to see if full throttle at the pedal is full throttle at the throttle body." But I managed to totally forget about that at the time

Today I pulled the air hose again and found that the butterfly valve was quite a ways from full open when the gas pedal hit the stop. So I adjusted the pedal stop so it would coincide with the REAL full throttle. I'd like to say that it made an INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCE but I couldn't tell. Maybe a dyno could pick up the added HP at WOT...

But it is certainly something worth checking; apparently the PO had not checked it in a while - cables will stretch over time.

Not surprising -- but a very good catch. Most people would never notice.

I had a '70 911T that left about 20-percent of WOT on the table due to not enough length in the throttle linkage. I essentially had to run the car without the front wood pedal box cover to get full throttle travel. Boy it made a huge difference!!!

    very nice thread,
I will check that as soon as possible. Your idea is basic and very smart. Lets check the original parameters before try to improve the design. Is it easy to do ? I will look at the drawings and try to find. As I understood the car was lacking of air at fuel gas position, isn't it ?
