thanks to everyone who helped me in determining the radiator fan problem and also the carb "popping" questions i approached the forum with last month...

northwest ferrari mechanic and friend ray segale was in town this week and i called him to work on my '79 308GTS...i had trouble figuring out why my right radiator fan wasn't working and tried all fixes-thermo switch/relay...hot wiring showed it dead but wanted to make sure...

    fan was toast...

ray was real careful with the mounting tabs when reinstalling the new fan..(real ***** getting the fan back in the hole)

he also plugged the 2 weber balancing tubes that were leaking and de-leaned the carbs as the emissions not necessary in the state of washington and the car was leaned out for california...

my car runs incredibly well now and no exhaust "popping" which i had thought were the carbs backfiring..
