I always hope to be back as a Ferrari owner in the future. The overall experience has been absolutely GREAT! I have found the Ferrari crowd to be very welcoming, and lots of fun in social situations. The car was also a great one to own with very few issues to start with, and even less once I got the bugs worked out. Of course it was a little more expensive to maintain than a typical car, but considering the age and complexity of the machine it was surprisingly reliable, and fast. Sometimes you have to take your lumps in life, and that is the way I am looking at selling the 348. While it was not something I really wanted to do, it is all part of the adventure we call life. Better to have taken the opportunity to enjoy some of the finest machinery mankind has ever produced than to sit on the sidelines wondering "What if???"
    Cheers to the brothers!
    :)

Oh just great...I'm looking forward to another "When should I replace the timing belt" thread along about this time next week. ;) Obama should institute a bandwidth limit on that subject.

Glad you found a buyer, hopefully one who will care for the car as you did. Sorry you sold it though. Being on the front end of ownership it brings to light that we are only caretakers for these cars until the next owner takes over...

Stick around. We need you here. Once a brother, always a brother!!! :)

I will defintely be "Hanging around". Being underemployed affords me that luxury.
I will be taking a road trip this Thursday with my brother who is buying a Ginetta G20 from a guy in Minneapolis. We are flying there and then driving the car to Scottsdale. 1800 miles, three days in a car with no roof, no luggage space, no a/c, etc... I drove mine yesterday about 200 miles and it made me VERRY sleepy. 1800 miles should be fun...
I sold it to a guy from Coral Gables (just south of Miami). I let him know Fchat is the place to go for answers to any technical questions he might have. He had recently sold his 2002 360 Modena, and wanted more of a fun sports car than a super GT...
    :)

PM me your contact info. We are planning on hitting the ground and getting on the road ASAP (after going to the bank to pay for the car), but you never know. If for some reason we are stuck there overnight maybe we can meet for dinner or something.

Hey Bill, sorry to see her go but I get it. Will you by chance be in Scottsdale on Saturday? We'd love to have you come and hang out with us for a bit at our little C&C get together at the shops at Gainey Village.

It is possible but not likely that we would be in Scottsdale during the day Saturday. We plan on leaving Menneapolis around 3 or so Thursday and try to make maybe 300-400 miles on Thursday. Friday we should cover around 600-700 miles meaning Saturday we should have somewhere between 700-900 miles to cover. All in a car with no roof, doors, trunk, or wipers. YIKES!!!
I did a 200 mile ride in my G20 Saturday, and needed a good nap afterwards, I was beat. At least his car has better insulation for the passenger compartment, so the ride should be a little more comfortable than my car. Some pics of the car we are picking up / driving cross country attached.
