    This is like that one show on Discovery where they slow everything down. Like popping a balloon that was filled with water with a pin. Very cool.

    one i took about 2 years ago, no special camera or anything. just a cheap digital camera and some luck.

    (freshman year in college, water balloon fight in the door room... dont ask, i snapped this lucky pic)

    How 'bout this for high speed photography: 10,600,000 frames per second. I've always been interested in the ultra high speed photography used to record and analyze atomic and hydrogen bomb tests. I did a web search and learned that the engineering genius Harold Edgerton developed film cameras that burned through two thirds of a mile of film running at over 10 million frames a second to record the Trinity A-bomb and subsequent tests. The camera got so hot it self destructed, but Edgerton had anticipated this and had the film dump off into a secondary storage container so it wouldn't be damaged. Amazing.
