Ferrari 375 MM Scaglietti Coupe Speciale ------------------------------------------------------------- Featured is a 375 MM s/n 0402 AM that started life originally as a Pinin Farina Spyder and was delivered new to film director Roberto Rosselini. Shortly after taking delivery, the avid Ferrari customer sent the car to Scaglietti to have it fitted with a new coupe body. One of the inspirations for the Scaglietti designers was Mercedes-Benz then recently launched 300 SL 'Gullwing', which is most obvious in the greenhouse area and the rear end. Rossilini owned the one-off for a good ten years before selling it. After changing hands very few times, it was sold to North America in the mid 1990s where it still resides today. The unique Scaglietti bodied Ferrari is seen here at the 2006 Cavallino Classic, where it was honoured as one of the old winners of this most perstigious Ferrari concours d'elegance. It is also pictured the next day at the Palm Beach International, a Concours d'Elegance. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ferrari 575M SuperAmerica --------------------------------------------------- Pininfarina-designed Ferrari Superamerica combines Ferrari 12-cylinder berlinetta power with a highly original, innovative take on the convertible concept. The Superamerica is the first production car to employ an innovative rotating roof movement in combination with electrochromic technology developed exclusively for glass surfaces of these dimensions with Saint Gobain. The Fioravanti-patented electric rotating roof movement allows the Superamerica driver to drop the top in 10 seconds flat, making it the world's fastest convertible berlinetta (320 km/h top speed). Derived from the 575M Maranello, the Superamerica is available with either an F1-style or manual gearbox. Its big 12-cylinder engine has been boosted to deliver 540 hp / 403 KW @ 7250 rpm too. The new car can also be fitted with the GTC Handling package which offers Ferrari's very latest high-tech features including carbon ceramic brakes. Image Unavailable, Please Login

maybe this is too indirect... i'll defer if deemed so... Lorenzo Ramaciotti was born in Modena, and, after graduating from Turin Polytechnic in '72, went to work for Pininfarina, where he advanced in the ranks until retiring in June 2005. While at Pininfarina, he oversaw the designs of over 100 projects, among his favorites the Ferrari 456 GT and Peugeot 407Coupe, and concepts like the Ferrari Mythos and Maserati Birdcage. 1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The first Boxer was the 365 GT4 BB shown at the 1971 Turin Motor Show. Designed to answer rival the Lamborghini Miura, it was finally released for sale in 1973 at the Paris Motor Show. Only 387 were built, including just 58 with right hand drive. This was the rarest and fastest of all Berlinetta Boxers. The Pininfarina-designed body was an angular wedge with popup headlights. Though it shared its numerical designation with the Daytona, the Boxer was radically different. It was a mid-engined car like the Dino, and the now flat-12 engine was mounted longitudinally rather than transversely. The engine shared its internal dimensions with the V12 from the Daytona, but was spread out to 180° as on Ferrari's 1970 Formula One car. It produced 344 hp (257 kW) at 7200 rpm (7700 rpm redline), 302 ft·lbf ( 409 N·m ) of torque at 3900 rpm, and was mounted above a five-speed manual transmission. One major difference in this engine was its use of timing belts rather than chains. Test performance: Weight (kerb with 120 L (32 US gal; 26 imp gal) fuel) 3,417 lb (1,550 kg), acceleration 0-100 km/h 5.6 s, 100-200 km/h 12.8 s, top speed 181 mph (291 km/h). first instruction = "["b"]" ending any instruction set you enter the same code, but imbedded with a leading forward slash = "["/b"]" just like the quote you see when 'quoting' someone. Leave out the quotes shown in my post above, and you are set. to get a bigger size have an instruction, seperate from the bold, that says "size=" and then some number.
