Should Ferrari race w/out the hub wheels?

    They screwed up Kimi's race in Monaco and Bahrain. the left front wheel to be specific....i was wondering, i think they should just take it off all together, cos they're ugly and i miss the sight of glowin' discs...

    When i mean 'they' i actually meant the hub wheels.

    Well, if you noticed in Monaco, and Bahrain, Kimi's 2nd stop, the hubwheels just didn't go in the wheels. Kimi's 2nd pitstop at Monaco was close to 11-12 secs, IIRC. He could have finished 2nd, and the same can be said regarding Bahrain.

    They're extremely ugly...do away with them and bring back the gold wheels.

    I remember in one race Massa's wheel hub came off while he was racing. The lap that it happened was his fastest lap to that point.

    If it was any quicker at all they would have been removed. No need for excess crap on an F1 car.

    they help with cooling the brakes and where that air is headed IIRC.

    Tires, primarily. Ferrari use CO2 to inflate the tires, this helps transfer the heat from the tire to the hub.

    I too think they are ugly and think they should go. Not exactly sure why they went with them in the first place.

    they add downforce and assist break cooling.no reason to scrap them.

    Yeah, aerodynamics aids are stupid for the function of the car..... They should get rid of dampers all together and just use pillows and marshmellows instead.

    What's wrong with marshmellows? Can't they design an aerodynamic rod coming out the ass of the car and the winner of the race can eat smores?

    Sounds like a great idea to me. LOL.

    I say get rid of the stupid wheel covers. They are like illegals, they slow things down and cost too much. :)

    Dislike them the most, but don't like any of them. Wouldn't mind if they ditched wings too. There would be a lot more overtaking.
