430 front, CS rear.
I always prefered much more look of 360. However i found out that with few mods can be 430 pur beauty as well plus you have much more power. Few months ago i would never buy 430, today i consider this as one of option for near future. Picture below show what i mean. Standard 360 versus lowered 430 with CS mirrors - i think this example of 430 is amazing and look better than standard 360. If i would own 430 i would go this direction. i also love shape of 430 Challenge - another picture - again, direction i would go if i would like to upgrade stock 430 look. I have test driven both. IMO the 360 exterior is better looking but the interior of the 430 is far superior. The wife prefers the 360 as well, therefore our first F will be a 360 spider 6 speed. I am shopping now. It doesn't hurt that the 360 is 50-60K cheaper as well.

I love the look of the 360.. low, sleek and wide. The only let down IMO is the dated looking tiny 18" star fish wheels. An aftermarket set of rims or 19" CS wheels makes the 360.
I think the 360 is pretty much a pefect ferrari.. mine has a color scheme that I spent months looking for so I am biased.. but the car has great weight/power ratio.. great sound.. FANTASTIC exterior.. my interior is great since it's black/black.. which makes the interior look modern/sexy.. it's a timeless car that also is pretty easy going on maintenance and has plenty of hardcore performance.. the f430 has a cooler interior.. the exterior I am lukewarm on.. I think the 360 is an overall more appealing package.. but the 430 does drive better/faster... the question is.. there will always be a faster car.. but that is not the most important thing.. the modena is one of ferrari's crowning achievements.. and it will be for some time..
Funny that you mentioned it as it was exactly that joystick like selector that affirmed my desire to go with the stick.
I love the f1 in the 360.. I love the little stick to put it in reverse.. I love everything about the car.. I think the 355 should be manual.. but starting with the 360 the f1 is a good device.. obviously it's awesome in the 430 but still great in the 360.. I think i'll go for a DRIVE.. push it to the limit one more time!
i think the 360 is ageing better in terms of what a classic ferrari should look like....as in 20 years from now it will still look great and classic. kinda like an SL.
The 355 looks better than both of them as a complete car. I personally like the 360's front end, and the 430's rear end. The rear of the 360 is good too, with the classic V8 Ferrari round lights set in a relatively vertical flat surface. The 430 headlamps makes it seem like sort of...like a baby Enzo, not that that is a bad thing. Overall the 360 by a nose (pun intended).
Well, considering the 360 was the first Ferrari I ever saw in "the wild", I have a soft spot for the car to begin with. It is so simple to look at and easy on the eyes. There are no awkward angles or edges that become visionary obstacles. Everything flows together so smoothly and elegantly. It is THE Ferrari that comes to mind when I think of the brand. The F430 is a beautiful car too, but not on the same level imo. Performance on these machines is incredible as it is, and whether there is more advanced technology in the newer F430 is completely irrelevant to me. One day I will have a 360.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Having said that, I'm glad I ended up with the 360... IMHO, the lines are better and it saved me some dough. As a first-time Ferrari owner, I don't think I would've enjoyed the 430 any more than I'm currently enjoying my 360... YMMV, of course
Many of us rationalize why we prefer the 360/430 car over the other......360 owners generally will say that their car is more classic, beautiful,etc....430 owners say that it outperforms the 360 and has nicer interior. I happen to think the 430 is a "meaner: looking car, not necessarily a more beautiful or classic car, but WAY meaner and more aggressive looking. To me the look of the 430 matches the character of the car perfectly. Am I biased??? HELL YEAH!!!! For me it's ALL about performance and the thrill of driving a modern Ferrari. If I were more interested in which car looks better I would want a 410SA or 365GTC. I will always want to drive the most modern Ferrari available, with the latest and greatest in technology and performance. Ferrari keeps upping the ante and making faster and better handling cars. As far as design, it's really hard to compete with the classic designs of many years ago, but when Im behind the wheel (which is what it's all about) of a 430 or 599 Im grateful to be alive in the era of these wonderful machines. regular 360 and regular f430, i like the F430 better even though i think the 360 is more photogenic because the car is better proportionned. The F430 doesnt look good from certain angle because of his "narrowness". 360CS vs 430Scuderia, i like the 360CS better.

For me something like this in looks, 360= 308gtb F430= 288gto Not comparing them to each other but in visual impact, but the 288gto is supreme all others.
