The F40's heart was its engine, a 2,936cc twin turbocharged, alloy 90° V8 putting out an astonishing 478bhp at 7000rpm (163bhp / liter) and 424 lb-ft of torque at 4500rpm.

    1000th Ferrari in Hong Kong
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hong Kong welcomed the 1,000th Ferrari to be delivered into that region yesterday. The 612 Scaglietti One-To-One entered Victoria Harbour by a Chinese Junk ship, making its way to the driveway of Mr. Didier Li.

Li ordered the vehicle last year, and took possession on board the boat. Named "Huan," the boat is similar in style to the red-sailed Sampan boats seen in the harbour daily. Company officials, and 65 members of the media were on hand to witness the event.

Ferrari first sent a vehicle to Hong Kong in the 1960s, setting an average of only about 25 deliveries per year. But as wealth in the area has increased, so too have the number of Ferrari's making their way from Italy. The company sent 115 cars in 2008 alone.

Japan is the largest consumer of Prancing Horses in the Asia Pacific region, taking in 433 Ferrari's during 2008.

FERRARI CONFIRMS ITS OPPOSITION TO THE NEW TECHNICAL REGULATIONS ADOPTED BY THE FIA AND DOES NOT INTEND ENTERING ITS CARS IN THE 2010 F1 CHAMPIONSHIP
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maranello 12 May 2009 – Ferrari's Board of Directors, chaired by Luca di Montezemolo, today analysed the first quarter results for 2009. Despite the current international economic climate, which has hit the automotive sector in particular, Ferrari's figures were in line with the record levels reached in 2008.

Turnover for the first three months was 441 million euro compared to 455.7 million euro over the same period in 2008. The first quarter closed with a trading profit of 54 million euro compared to last year's 59 million euro.
