Hi Grant, I'll be there, not sure how many others will be there as it clashes with the Goodwood Breakfast club meeting which are always well attended. I seem to recall there were circa 60 Ferraris forming the Ferrari Owners' Club display last year. Paul
HI Paul Maybe we can meet up and say HI? i will send you a PM with my contact details. All the best Grant
I'll be there late afternoon but not in my 360 . Stopping off on way home from a few days in Rutland, so will be in the Porker.
a 360 and a porker so you have nearly made it in life you just need a ferrari 348 and you are in the big time
Can someone please show me a forecast where it doesn't say its raining in Leicester this weekend? Weather looks good down south for Goodwood though... Paul
Sorry guys, I'll be doing the "London to Brighton" classic car run with my 1962 Porsche 356B T6 cabriolet Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anyone know if the event will still go ahead regardless of the weather? If anyone hears anything please post here. Cheers, Paul
None of these things get cancelled just because it might rain. It was a bit different a couple of years ago with the flooding that stopped a few things.n It will just mean there will be fewer cars and people there. Jonathan
Prepping for a 25hr race at SPA the following weekend.... not been to Stanford for about 3 years now.. usually take an Alfa... unfortunately my garage is devoid of anything Italian at the moment and they turn their noses up if you turn up in something Teutonic!
Lovely 356 you have a wonderfully eclectic car collection. Decided to go to Goodwood despite the rain (unless it's biblical proportions of rain as Ferrari spent absolutely no time designing windscreen wipers that work on the Daytona)
Yes i agree with Matt a great collection, but i hope you are not dyslexic with 365 and a 356 in the garage! Could be tricky come insurance time.
Famous last words when I looked out of the window at 6:30 this morning to thunder and lightening. Would not have wanted to drive the Audi let alone the Daytona. Still there's the post 1970 performance legends in a couple of weeks at Goodwood.
Goodwood itself wasn't as bad as predicted. A bit of cloud cover, but the sun was shining through for most of the time. There was a small shower about 9:30, but it appeared to be brightening up again as I left about 10ish. Obviously if it's Cats & Dogs where you're starting from then I'd have been tempted to go back to bed as well. You didn't miss a huge amount of "proper" supercars, although there was a 250 Lusso and a Daytona that turned up.
Thanks for that, were the Lusso and Daytona light blue and burgundy respectively (they are often at Goodwood and I know both of the owners)?
The Lusso was red and the Daytona looked to be burgundy, although I only saw it from a distance as it arrived.
