Curious about this myself. I would love to find an engine-less 308 and throw in a Weber Carbed QV.

The 2 valve and QV blocks are slightly different. The oil passages between the heads and block are in a different place is the one difference I've heard about. I don't know if there are other slight changes as well. So you can't just put QV heads on a 2V block.

Best way to find out is to get one of each head gasket (new or used) and put it together and see if all the holes match ans line up.

No I am talking about completely switching out the 2v motor and installing the QV engine in its place...do you think the computer hookup(digiplex) would be the same? if not could use one of Nicks ignition systems. The fuel pump and accumulator are the same. Not sure about the Fuel Injection Distribution Manifold or exhaust. Guess I need to do some parts cross reference checking. Still have not seen the car yet, he is waiting to see if the high bidder pulls through.

Really not worth it. By the time you buy a used motor or repair yours, your in it over 20k thats without installation. There are good 20k cars out there. Some in the 15k range, running, complete and reg. Passed up a very clean gtbi for 17.5k in vegas. Shipping accross country.....1k enclosed? Your better off being patient.
