Today the pin on the secondary arm on the driver side wiper snaped.... #¤/&#&"%¤#" I have seen that these cost more than 400$, it´s insane! I tried to drill out the remaining bit of the pin in the wiper arm, thinking that I could put a new pin in. But NO, that thing is so frikin hard, and I can not dill it out... Had it been something performance related, I could allmost justify spending 400$, but for a wiper arm....
So is there a common fix too? That does not involve just buying a new arm? Btw I see this is a Bosch part, is it used on other cars too?
Never found another source but as with pretty much all modern Bosch products it is cheaply made. I sure wish Ferrari would quit using them.
Part #18 in your diagram is the drivers side wiper arm for a left-hand drive 348, part #62463400, and the price shown on the Ricambi site is $436.84.
Keep drilling mate. You will eventually get it out and replace it with a small screw with a nut on the other end. I do this ALL the time at work on the underground machines. It doesnt really matter what they look like down there. If it were my car, I would do the same. **** paying $400 for a wiper arm when a $5 for a couple of drill bits and a 50 cent screw and nut can fix it.
I feel your pain. Mine has also broken in the same spot (the pin between the base and the secondary arm). I have a friend with a bench drill and someone else's bits drilling it out for me. If you buy a nice black dome head bolt for the bit you see on top I imagine you could challenge anyone to spot it wasn't original and win. Once mine is done I'll post a pic of the result. Although my car has bigger problems than the wipers (not running and no idea why). Damn!
