Having read that Ferrari are about to announce an upgraded 575 Maranello at Geneva I was thinking about what they would call it. Assuming it is still a 5.7 litre engine and based upon the 575GTC, I was thinking 575GT or 575GS (Giro Stradale) to follow on from the 360 Challenge Stradale.

Anyway, that got me thinking of other names. What do you guys think the next Ferraris will use as their suffixes (as in 'Modena' and Scaglietti'). Here are my suggestions:

    Fiorano
    Monza
    Bologna
    Imola
    Le Mans
    Mugello
Dino (bringing back the badge for the V8s)
Schumacher (although I think it would cost too much in royalties..)
    Scuderia

Anyone with other suggestions or inside info?

    Cheers

    Paul

I'd name it after a famous 550 owner--the Doody. Hey, what the heck, it's no worse than the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, is it?

Bologna is just a stupid name

Ferrari used that for their "sports package" option. So I don't think that will used on a car.

    What about Mille Millia.

I too would like to see 'Fiorano' on the cars. However, they may just keep that for special series and suspension options.
Schumacher: deserves one in the future
Montezemolo: safe bet that in the future (after he retires) will eventually get his name on a car
    Monza: probably will return...maybe Imola??
other famous pilots of the scuderia....Ascari stands out
Colombo and Lampredi for their contributions to engine design
    other candidates: Europa,Superamerica,California,Lusso,Dino....

    The list is endless

Isn't just because of the paint scheme on the car, and or a car given to MS? It is still a 456....

Have a special-edition (whether it be 360, 575, whatever). Each year, and for only one year, offer it with special unique bits to differentiate it from subsequent and previous years (wheels, colors, interior trim, etc). Each year would be named to honor all of the former formula one champs from Ferrari.

There would be a built-up excitement each year based on these limited edititons (maybe number of each edition would the number of wins Ferrari has had in the past 50 years, I don't know that number). The model that the special is based on could also change, 360 one year, 612 the next, and so on.

I don`t care about the factory names (like also many friends of mine); I give my Ferraris their own personal name (term of endearment?).
My Testarossa is sometimes just called "the beast" or the "Wolfarossa mobil".
My 308 GTSi QV was just called "the curves wonder".
