Rick and Julie's annual FCA Lake Simcoe Drive for Cancer is coming up on Sunday June 7th. The FCA Lake Simcoe drive is back again this year to help raise funds in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Please join us for a tour of South Lake Simcoes shoreline. The tour will start at the Petro Canada Gas Station at 404 and 16th Avenue (East of the 404 on the North side of 16th Avenue). The cars will meet at 10:30 am and depart at 11:00 am sharp. Maps for the tour will be provided on location Sunday morning. We will head north and drive the south end of the lake, then continue East to the Briars Resort in Jacksons Point where the cars will be left under supervised display for the public. We will arrive at the Briars Summer Cottage around 12:30 pm followed by the Taste of Italy Buffet Lunch scheduled for 1:00 pm. We will include a raffle to help raise funds for a ride in a Ferrari. For those members who would like to volunteer their passenger seat and give someone a ride, you can let us know when we reach the Resort. The cost for Lunch is $30.00/person including taxes and gratuities (beverages excluded). Registration to Richard Cory: Phone 1-905-722-3481 or Fax 1-905-722-0245
I'm riding shotgun with Mario in the 355 GTS Yellow (is there any other color for a Ferrari?) I heard on City TV this morning that the Becel Ride For Heart is also on Sunday, which involves road closures. Hopefully it is not a part of our route. http://www.toronto.ca/transportation/road_info/index.htm Chris

Thanks Mario for posting the pictures and it was really enjoyable and I also see the Ferrari "Spirit" from the faces of the FCA members; my wife said she enjoyed it so much especially she was the one to drive on the return trip ; great works guys and thanks again for all the efforts.
Your welcome Hubert. Nice to see you & your wife again. Looking forward to your event in August. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Enjoyed the event and meeting all of you. Unfortunately the alternator gave it up and left us on the 401 about 50 km from home. We were able to coast into a MTO weigh station. I know - who could believe that there would be electrical problems in these cars! At least CAA sent a flat bed and we were only delayed about an hour getting home. Mario - Very nice pics. Greg
Sorry to hear that Greg; I actually had the same experience last month right after a Porsche Auto Cross event; my C4-cab was died because of the alternator, I also called CAA to flatbed it to the dealer. however, I think I was lucky because it was right after the event so that I was "at least" able to enjoy the day; yes just a delay to get back home .
Thanks for posting the picture; see you in the Ottawa Ferrari Festival on June 19 - 21; if not then in August for I will be away in July for Europe
