    Two weeks ago, a bunch of us took advantage of the long weekend to have a fun, memorable rally through the White, Green and Berkshire Mountains of New England. I'll be writing up a full article for submission to FCA publications, so you can read the gory details later. A taste:

    * 400+ miles in a McLaren F1, while it left me with scoliosis and pinched nerves in my buttocks, is surprisingly practical.

    * That same McLaren F1 is much more comfortable over bumpy mountain roads than a 430.

    * It is indeed possible to legally and safely pass three cars using an exit lane - if one is driving a 612 Scaglietti.

    * I can make variations of the same joke dozens of times, and it's still funny (at least to me) - "the McLaren F1 enables you to take both your wife AND your mistress"; "the blonde goes on the left, the brunette goes on the right", etc.

    * A Stradale windshield can withstand the impact of a wild turkey. We did not, luckily, find out whether the same would have been true with a moose.

    Very nice - congrats to the new F1 owner!!! :)

    This car was the first F1 I ever went for a ride in, so it holds a special place in my heart and I am pleased to see it back in the USA. The last two owners it had were great, and from all appearances so far this one looks to be as well. Please take good care of the car, which includes driving the piss out of it of course. ;)

    That's not the 'Turner' McLaren. That car is black.

    I was surprised by which car it is (Peloton knows why) and even more surprised to hear of the new owner. I might have to start eating at Tony's Pizza more often...

    One less F1 in the UK for Mr Bean to wreck hehe- I want to see pics of the F1 next to the 288 and the Miura :)
