Well some stories with this one, but if it were closer to me I'd check it out as the condition doesn't look that bad.....still wondering how a motor "sounds new" vs. one that "sounds old" or "sounds used"....

It's missing the fog lights (!) and has poor front bumper fit- whether it's a good buy or not would depend on PPI I guess- I.E. exhaust manifold/valve guides? Needs ashtray cover....some other odds & ends, and the title is forever branded as salvage car, but overall looks priced pretty decent if someone wanted to get it fully serviced and have a very nice car! You could probably bring it up to snuff, pay tax/shipping and still have change left over from $45K!

Front bumper at wheel arches shows a misalignment.

Edit: .......... missing fog lights ......... forgot to reinstall them during bumper repair/repaint?

low miles: seller states 3589 and 7700 miles.

    Seller seems very honest.

is the front bumper, black grill factory?

Car sounds like a steal pending a positive PPI

I saw that- but it could be a type-o... the seller does have impressive ebay feedback.

How hard do you think it would be to get the title changed to rebuilt?

    It already is titled "rebuilt"
    from the advertisement...
Please be advised vehicle is branded as " rebuilt title " not salvage but e-bay does not have that option
    :)

That's what I was thinking- if it were in NJ and I could get it inspected to know what I was getting into I would look at it....but adding in the cost, hassle and time of doing this transaction long distance, including flying out (I'd have to see it in person even after PPI) and shipping, well, it's just too much. Great buy for someone IF it checks out though! (i.e. if it doesn't need $10K+ of motor work outside of the 15K belt service, plus $$$ for other odds and ends..)

If the car passes the mechanical test, it would make a great track car.

Anybody know if the black panel between the taillights normal or should it be body color?

Actually it is the body that should match 'the black panel between the taillights' ............ :)!! ................. ok its black because it is a challenge grill option ;).

Thanks. I was just wondering if maybe it had been replaced due to rear end damage (using a part from a different model year). Doesn't rule it out but at least I know it could be original.

The rear challenge grille is OK. But what bothers me is the red panel behind the front egg crate grille. Seeing red behind the front grille is silly and ugly. It is supposed to be black.

Yeah, that looks pretty horrific but easily fixed. I would also replace the orange front turn signal lenses with the clear Euro ones.

The mileage has me wondering too. VERY low. Not a 355 expert but I would think the engine with drivetrain alone would be worth around 30 Grand with such low mileage.

There is no way thats the correct mileage. As for the red behind the grill. Thats probably from the respray after the front end rebuild from an accident. ;)

The seller acknowledges it was damaged in an accident (backing out of the garage). I tend the to think the accident was much more "significant" than that even though I want to believe otherwise.

I talked to the seller very briefly today. I did not get the address but he said, I think, the Summerland?? area. I've never been out L.V. way so I'm not familiar with the region. I'd be happy to call him again and ask the address if you like.

seller also said PPI after the auction has ended is acceptable at owners expense, not prior.

The bottom feeders are out for this one! It's got a salvage title. Remember the old saying, "There is no such thing as a cheap Ferrari"!

That is absolutely right, if I go there to see the car, I feel that I will find all kind things wrong and I will list them all for you including my thoughts about it.
